would the real alison angel please stand up...

hi everybody. :) i've been trying to figure something out, and thought i would come here, and see if any of you could shine any light on this. does anybody know if Alison Angel has an actual myspace page? seems that their are plenty of imposters out there. so, what's the word? any clues?

I'm sure she does, given that MySpace is one of the most popular means of advertising. How you would know whether or not a particular one is hers, that's a whole other animal. But, to answer your questions, I think it's highly likely that she does have at least one, if not one for advertising, and one under her real name. ;)

very true. having her real name would make it a lot easier. :) who has that kind of info anyway? oh well. i found a page out there that might be the real thing. it has a link for a model agency for booking, but i tried to find her on there, and realized that she might be listed as her real name. we've been talking back and forth and she claims to be the real deal. i wish i could get some kind of proof that it is real, but i don't even know how that would even work.

I don't think you'll get any closer to finding out if it's really her than that, although many times, due to the high number of fan mail they receive, they won't answer their messages personally, but instead they'll have someone else help them answer fan mail. I very seriously doubt if she would give out her real name to a random stranger that's been sending her messages on MySpace. The sad truth is that the only ones who will know her real name are her friends and, maybe, her photographer.

i agree. i guess it just goes to show that when it comes down to the net you never know who's on the other end, who's telling the truth and who's not, real and unreal. i guess it would be a 50/50 shot at the very best. oh well. at least it's entertaining. hell, for all i know i could be talking to 45 year old man named rick, and wouldn't know the difference. lol

I'll bet you'd know the difference if you met "her" and gave her a "mic check". :1orglaugh

lol no shit. i can see it now. go to meet "her", and it's just a big hairy guy (think classic 6'6" biker) in a blond wig with a beard down to his gut. lol

there are loads of ppl or celebs who supposedly have a myspace account etc. But in all honesty I don't think that very many of them actually are their accounts. More often than not it's people who are fans of them that makes these kind of pages.

Not entirely true. I used to work for an artist management company, and one of my duties was to update artists' MySpace pages. So, while in reality the artist usually isn't the one who updates the page, it is written by the artist's management.

You just have to look at this message board to see that a lot of pornstars/models isn´t the ones posting. If everything they post are spam for their sites you can be 99% sure that it´s their webmaster and not the stars themself that are doing the posting.

A lot of people are setting up fake myspace profiles just to get people to send them presents, unbelievably enough it seems to be working too. I know examples of people who´s pretended to be female on model forums and have had guys sending them presents. They didn´t even pretend to be a model, they just used a female name as a username.

not only that, even if you dont want a fucking myspace page, you pretty much have to have one made up for you. if i made it in music, i will have it in my contract, NO MYSPACE PAGE.

The thing is that MySpace is one of the best means of advertising for popular music. I have worked quite a few well-sold events that were solely advertised on MySpace. The Download Fest, for instance, has been a HUGE success for the past 3 years, selling 21,000+ tickets each year just at the venue where I've worked it, and it's a MySpace thing.

I personally hate MySpace, but I would definitely welcome the free publicity if I was a performer.
