I usually get along with my stewards and department heads, but last week was different. For 5 days last week we were setting up for Cisco Systems' global meeting. It's probably
the biggest build I've ever seen, and I was stuck with a complete asshole as a head rigger. This guys is the type of person who will yell at you because he wants you to hook up motors, then, when you're hooking up motors, he'll come and yell at you because he wants you to bolt truss together, so you start bolting truss together, and he comes back and yells at you because the motors haven't been hooked up yet. I was literally about to punch him in the face no less than 6 times each day. He yelled at me because he assigned me to a project, then, when I finished, I looked for him, but he wasn't around, so I jumped in with some other riggers, and then he came and yelled at me because that wasn't my project. It just makes for a really long day when you have to put up with a raging asshole like him, especially when you're working 15-hour days like we were.
