This is true. My 25 year old Mac Plus is probably still worth more than a PC that's 6 or 7 years old. But only sell the Mac if you can buy two PC's... on account of one of them being in the repair shop half the time.

This is true, but if you get 2 2PC's from the money you make from the mac, you have a good deal! You get a better PC, and you can sell what's left of the other one for even more $ on Craig's List. Plus you can always call B2J for tech support!

I had a MAC that ran OSX, Windows XP, Auto CAD, Photo shop and Firefox simultaneously without any problems.
The Pcs at school run like **** and the Macs always work.

I'd love to call you for tech support on my PC's. But I've gotten SO used to talking to Indian women who speak broken English, and pretend their name is "Jessica". Why is the (fake) name "Jessica" so popular with those outsource people??? The last one I got when I called DirecTV, I told her that my name was "Jessica" too! :nanner: Hell, we'll just all call ourselves Jessica from now on... fuckers!
Before Apple went to Intel chips, I used to be a fan of IBM machines. I had a series of Thinkpads where I used to work and I really liked them (except when they took a crap). Then they sold out to Lenovo and I hear their customer service is pretty crappy now too. I don't know about their quality.
But if you'll paint a dot in the middle of your forehead and call yourself Jessica, maybe you could talk me into buying another PC. :1orglaugh

im trying to upgrade it was we speak. it doesnt have internet, otherwise i would have been able to.
i burned a copy of panther and i can get the image to mount. then i restart like it says then hold down the C key and it wont install disc one.
i burned it as an iso but maybe im missing something.
i dont get it!!!!!!!!!!!
long story short: my wireless adpater doesnt work on my mac. in order to use one, i need OS X 10.3 or 10.4.
i have 10.1.5. so im trying to put 10.4 (panther) on it and it wont fucking install or boot from the disc. its so frustrating.

I know we're not supposed to link to other (porn?) forums. But let me mention a Mac forum where you can probably find some help. Go to AppleInsider.com and go to Forums. Choose the Genius Bar and go from there. I'm pretty sure one of those smart **** can help you. And they (most of them) actually enjoy helping people out.
Go to apple store and have the guy or girl show you little about it as you don't seem to no any thing and by your post it sounds like you may have old iMac.
May be the person got new iMac and give you a old iMac.

Even if your wireless adapter doesn't work couldn't you just connect an ethernet cable or phone jack? :dunno: I used to run mine off an ethernet cable till I got a wireless modem.

i dont have cable internet so thats the problem. im just gonna keep my eyes peeled at the thrift store for leopard or panther or whatever. meanwhile, i think ill just work on finding a new hardrive for the laptop that died.
that thing was an awesome computer and i miss it dammit!
