Windows 8 & Video Gaming

I am guessing some, like EA, are already developing Windows 8 games. Because EA is operated by a bunch of money grubbing whores.
First - I will skip Windows 8 alltogether. Happy with 7 for the time being (and already have had enough issues with older games to be run on 7, which can only be getting worse for 8).
Second - doing more and more with xbox
Third - Ouya!!!!
In the end, time will tell, especially with rumours about the new xbox around some corner (would it be windows 8 based? who knows)

I think Windows 8 has interesting gaming potential, but I think it will be more geared towards casual "Angry Birds" type gamers at first. It seems like Microsoft is targeting cross device enthusiasts (play an individual game on your PC, phone, Xbox, etc) more than the hardcore crowd, who generally stick with a specific PC build. I'm planning on putting together a new system after Windows 8 gets officially released, but I probably wont do that until sometime next year (just to let the gremlins get rooted out first).
I don't like the idea that non-Microsoft games will probably be compromised to some degree by Windows 8, but that was expected to happen. I still haven't switched from 7 to 8, but the people I know who are already using 8 are generally positive about it.
There's elements of Windows 8 that probably will revolutionize gaming to a great extent, despite so many people in the gaming community currently being opposed to it. Either that or it's wait for Windows 9 or whatever is next. . .
