It was the first site I ever joined (I'm still a relative computer newbie).
I'd heard about it via a friend and was impressed with it's large, well-organized database - but that was only an incidental draw.
As my Google skills increased, trying to find stuff for other people became kind of like solving a puzzle, which was and still is fun at times.
Discovering the talk sections (also a first for me) was what made me a semi-regular.
