Why do people watch pornstars who have died?

That shit makes me sick. Alot of the forums I go on I notice a dead pornstars name pop up once in awhile. I couldn't wank over a dead girl because it just would make me feel nasty knowing she isn't in that form now and is just a bag of bones. Plus it is disrespectful, but that's obvious. What do you think about this?

I see it as people making sure their legacy lives on. And you never knew the person to begin with in real life, so continuing to see them in that image, immortalized by film reel is in a strange way honoring their remembrance.

Humphrey Bogart has been dead for decades but I still love to watch Key Largo anytime it's on.

The fact they died does not take away the hottness of the work they did.

I still spank off to Hailey Paige all the time and I'll continue to do so thankyouverymuch.

Me too , theres something morbid about it :(

We watch for the same reason we ever did-to get turned on. Its fantasy. How many of your old favorites do you still watch knowing full well they look nothing like that today. Its a way to recapture a time, mood, and feeling.

I see what you're saying and I had a similar thought when I found out Anastasia Blue had passed away after I had... you know...

But it's really not as weird as you think when you analyse it. (I was going to put 'dissect it' but the word 'dissect' in conjunction with talk of dead people has unsavoury connotations).

The thing is, like several other posters have pointed out, people still enjoy the works of people who are dead whether it's Shakespeare, Hitchcock, or whoever the fuck.

...I know, I know, the difference is that you're appreciating their work not their physicality but the principle is the same. A porn star's films ARE their work.

Let's take a non-porn example: Audrey Hepburn. She's hot, but maybe you think that's different because she was popular decades ago and so to you it's an issue of being 'too soon'. But unless they were ashamed to be in the adult film industry then I imagine most porn stars would absolutely love to be considered wank-overable for generations to cum ;)

However, if you've just found out they're dead and that's the thing that turns you on then, yes, maybe that's a little weird.

It's still wrong and the two are very different. Appreciate work I can understand. Sexually relieving yourself over some slut who probably died in a controversial way is disgusting. Especially the fact that there is so many other hot pornstars who are alive. Imagine wanking over a dead girlfriend or something...I mean it's vile.

But she's not your girlfriend, there are no feelings envolved. Why would you mix a porn vid with the real life of the porn stars, you got issues.

I'm not the one with issues. I'm trying to figure out how the fuck someone can get turned on by a good looking chick they know is dead and buried.

Well it's clearly wrong to you but mainstream pornography is a relatively new industry and so you have to ask yourself whether it's acceptable for someone in 300 hundred years time to think of someone sexually who died 200 years before they were born, who hasn't been born yet (as of 2009) but will be born, grow up, become popular as a porn star, make porn films, and then die. I certainly don't think that's 'vile' because I believe sexual attraction needn't be temporal. But like I said before if it's the fact that they're dead that's geting you off, rather than your attraction to them, then maybe that's weird.
