Why do people hate on Jenna jameson?

Jenna Jameson is definitely still one of my favourites. The main reason why some people seem to hate her is probably that she usually does some pretty commercial/ softcore stuff. As for me, I don't want to see women tortured or treated in a bad/ degrading way, so it's not a problem for me that she doesn't do any hardcore stuff like these ugly "modern" pornstars such as Belladonna.

First things first...... if you have a "bobble-head" doll of your own likeness, people SHOULD hate. If you're willing to back up/agree to a promotion of something SO useless, then people should hate you. Actually, I just hate "Bobble-Heads", but this was a good place to bring it up. lol.

OK, as far as Jenne Jameson is concerned, I think people are just burned out on her. I always thought she was cute in her pics, put then I made the mistake of seeing one of her videos. The sound of her moaning REALLY turned me off. It just made me cringe.

I think she has spent to much time in the "Limelight" and people just don't care anymore. Yeah, good for you, great job. People have told her this for a long time. Fine. She'll always have her diehard fans to support her. Not me, I need something new, fresh, or at least someone who doesn't have a whole lot of products out there. It makes it special. With JJ, to me, it feels like she being shoved down our throats. "You will like Jenna Jameson, or else." Or else what? So, some people don't like her. All well. Life goes on. The sun will still rise from the east. She reminds me of something that happened in my home town. There was a radio station that played Creed non stop when they first came out. I'll give'em respect, but when the station was playing 3-4 of their songs every hour and a half, you feel like your being pushed to like this. I pick on my own terms, not by someone else. I couldn't even listen to the station anymore, and I haven't for about four years now. There is such a thing as "TOO MUCH". And that my friend, is Jenna Jameson. So people don't like JJ, let me ask you this. Does everyone you know like all the same music you do? Me personally(I know I'll probably get crap for this), I don't like AC/DC or Led Zepplin, or any other real "mainstream" band. You hear'em all the time, it's always the same 5-6 songs. That gets old real quick. I have respect for those bands(me being a musician) but I can't stand to listen to the same song 20 times a day! My porn's the same way. I need change, not the samething over and over again. Watching JJ's scenes back to back(I unfortunatly have seen more than one) is like playing a CD where all the songs sound exactly the same. Where's the diversity? Granted, you know what to expect, but where's the fun in that?

Now, as far as GiveMPsAChance' quote, I'm not into Bella Donna so that doesn't bother me. But if you're going to give an example, please name somebody hot! And NO, I don't like to see someone get totured or degraded, but I do like women who enjoy the act of anal. People like Hali Aston, a great redhead that sometimes let the guy cum in her ass. To me that's hot! Some women are just more open than others. I like those women because they are being themselves. That's attractive. Not doing it because you have to or to make more money, they should do it only if they enjoy it.

I don't think Georges reason is a very good reason for hating a pornstar. Hate is a very strong word, i think dislike is more appropriate. Just because she don't do anal, double fucks etc, why should that be a reason to hate Jenna? I can think of quite a few pornstars who don't do anal, double fucks (one in fact who is very familair to us all) but that is no reason to hate them, it is just their personal choice not to do it, and you have to repspect their decision. In my opinion, Jenna is the best pornstar, not because she is the most famous or most popular, just because i find her very hot and she does it for me more than any other pornstar. But this doesn't mean that she is the best, it is all about personal opinion, Jessica Drake may be the best in Smoknn's eyes but that is his opinion. I have seen jenna in various scenes during her career, and although she might not have done anal or interracial, i have definately seen her take a facial quite a few times, even a quite messy one of Peter North. I have to agree that in person, Jenna is incredibly down-to-earth & friendly. The one poster who said something about her coming across as a "stoner" hasn't seen the same Jenna I know, and from many other posts I've seen in this thread, I think many would agree with me.

I can understand that for some, a porn star's personality might have little to do with making her a favorite. Some people just want to see what they want to see. And if what Jenna does on film doesn't meet that preference, they'll have a different favorite, and that's normal... From my own experience, I will confess that I take some satisfaction when I like something that isn't considered all that popular. IMO it often seems as if the media are more "proactive" than "reactive"...ie. they are more in the business of influencing public opinion rather than covering it. This is most obvious in the realm of music and is the reason why the radio airwaves are filled with much more rubbish than was the case even just 10 years ago. MTV is even worse; what used to be a network that took pride in introducing its viewers to new and exciting artists is now a network that does all it can to keep things boring and maintain the status quo. But I digress! Someone mentioned how he felt like JJ was being "forced" upon us, and that's what made me want to draw that comparison.... I can certainly understand why he would find that frustrating, however.

In my case, I feel I'm quite capable of "looking past the hype" and liking or disliking someone based upon her merits alone. I may *enjoy* it a bit more if I like someone who isn't popular, but that doesn't prevent me from liking someone who is. For example, I count Vanessa Del Rio, Ginger Lynn, Tori Welles, and Ashlyn Gere among my all-time faves.... all of them were "#1 girls" in their day.

I don't count JJ as a fav of mine because, frankly, the list of women I find more attractive or hotter than her is so long it's ridiculous, and therefore I have no particular affinity towards her. When it comes to looks and heat I think she's average with a capital "A."

I just don't get why people like Georges have such a serious hate on for Jenna, even after reading your reasoning Georges. You are certainly entitled to your opinion but there are lots of porn stars that either do things I am not into or don't do things I am into but I wouldn't describe my feelings towards them as hatred. Heck it isn't even that I don't like them. Generally it is just that I don't find them attractive and I move on to find a girl that I do find attractive.

For me, I always thought Jenna was attractive, thought she had great movies etc., but it wasn't until I actually had the chance to talk to her and learn more about her than just her movies that I became a fan. She is a pretty cool person and I really like that. Sure it doesn't have anything to do with her performances, but a girl with a cool personality always looks hotter to me than a hot girl with a bad attitude.

And to the comment about Jenna being old? The girl is like 29? When the hell did 29 become old? I sure as hell know I'm not old yet!
