Why are some people such psycho's?

Maybe its time to wake up and realize... thats Africa and Haiti, not the US and Canada.
Its also time to wake up and realize that almost nobody wants to live in Haiti and (most) of Africa due to conditions like that.
One more thing... just because it happens in Haiti and Africa all the time sure as hell doesn't make it right.
Maybe it is time to realize for Canadians that death penalty should be brought back and that authorizing its law abiding citizens to have a concilied carry weapon permit is the solution. If I had to live in the USA or in Canada, then I would buy a gun first for my own safety.
Why on both counts? The murder rate in Canada is similar to, but slightly higher than, that in the UK, Italy, and Spain. Do people in those countries need to carry concealed weapons?

As for the death penalty, very few western industralized nations have it anymore. Why would Canada bring it back? It is not a deterrent (see higher murder rate in USA). Wrongly convicted people have ended up on death row (see USA). If even one person is executed for a crime they did not commit, that is a travesty.
The death penalty would not have prevented this from occuring. This psycho beheaded his victim and also reportedly ate some of him. He is not mentally right, so no law or consequences would deter him.
Also, unrelated to your post, but this has nothing to do with relative bus passenger safety in Canada. One incident like this in entire history of Canadian bus travel is an isolated occurence. A psycho like this will inevitably kill if he feels like it. Nothing can prevent seemingly random acts such as this. Every country has their own psychotic killers. This one just happened to go crazy on a bus.

Also what the hell are the people on the bus doing? the guy next to him is just watching him cut the guys head off? would you not try and jump the sick bastrd who was stabbing somone?
The guy held the head up like a trophy! I thought camden and philly had some shady stuff going on.
