We all were sad when we were teenagers. What subculture did you belong to when you were a pathetic loser?

... "hippie" for me... :ban:

This needed to be mutiple choice as I was various kinds of denegerate at times but I guess Hippie was the one that was in force most of the time but some punk and mod were part of it as well. But I make no apology and wouldn't change a thing,so there!

I was a rocker, one of them grunge losers with the flannel shirts and ripped jeans. The early nineties were a fun time (Though I started doing that around 95, when that whole thing was in decline).

The Hippies are planning a come back if they can remenber to do it and only take half of the blue acid tabs.

I was many things when I was a teenager, but I was mostly a jock.

Hippie. Or, actaully, "Freak" or "Head" was the word by which we referred to ourselves....our parents and the cops called us "Hippies".

I would never have been able to be a hippie. I smoked pot and all, but I actually believed in bathing regularly. Besides, my hair was much too short to sport dreads.

All the hippies I knew took baths everyday. You're falling for the vicious smear campaign waged by the suits.

What the hell are you talking about? The regular everyday hippies were just suburban kids from middle and upper-middle class families just like anyone else. We wore out hair long, big wide bellbottoms, work shirts and were seriously into recreational drugs, rock music and politics. Oh yeah, SEX too. We most certainly bathed. And nobody wore dreadlocks that I recall....even the blacks who were heads were sporting afros instead of cornrow.

I am sure that some of the Haight-Ashbury street people resembled the non-bathing model you present, but none of the kids I ran with were like that.
