Who should be James Bond next?

Maybe some unknown actor will get the role! I think that's probably be the best way forward as all the other actors have kinda be typecast into certain roles and we could probably never see them as Bond!

A good example of this is using Hugo Weaving (that matrix evil guy) in Lord of the rings - Kinda ruined the film for me as you couldnt see him in any other film!

The man i think should be Bond, hasnt been posted yet. His name is James Purefoy, i guess he auditioned for GoldenEye, but he didnt get the job. Maybe this time hell get it.

The other Bond choices are so horrible, i dont wanna see any of those guys as Bond.

The poll choices I gave were the serious contenders for it, based on what I have read in various places, but I agree none seem amazing for it. Clive Owen would be best from them, but I reckon there has to be better.

I was always gutted Sam Neill never played him for a few films, and now I think he is a little TOO old... I saw his screen tests as him and he was very good, and I remember seeing him in Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams... he sat there, in white shirt with a drink in hand and he just WAS Bond!

and another thing (just to get my post count up to 2000 woohoo!!)...the Brosnan movies did suck IMO!!...but not for the reason many seem to blame....it wasnt his fault...hell he prolly would of been good if they dropped the relentless oneliners, bad script and bad direction...

sure bond used to do the one liners....and no one does um quite like Connery and ole Rog.......but the Brosnan bond ones werent even romotely intellegent....hell they wouldnt look out of place in a bad Arnie movie!...go watch the running man and then watch tomorrow never dies....nowt different

in regards to batman i was thinkin the other day after watchin the Sin City trailors, that if they ever considered doing a older version of batman tellin the story of the dark knight coming to the end of the his days...swallowed by paranoia etc....then Mickey Rouke would be perfect!!! (apolagies for going off topic)

I think that rumour of Carlys is just a rumour. Ive spent a while searching this up, and it looks 99% certain that Clive Owen WILL be doing it. The film has a tentative release of November.... 2006!! Damn.

Sorry guys, I know this may sound like a dumb silly question, but who is Clive Owen??? You're gonna have to fill me in on who he is, aswell as Dougray Scott. Obviously I know who Ewan Mcgregor is and Hugh Jackman, but I wanna make sure I know who's who before I make my vote.

I agree, I'm not at all keen on seeing cgi in Bond movies.
A Bond movie has traditionally been about the characters and plot, with a few gadgets/cars thrown in... Back to Basics!
