Who on here loves to hit the weights?

I haven't lifted since earlier this year. I busted my hand, and it's healed, but the motivation isn't there. Usually watching Pumping Iron gets me in the mood, but, I'm going to need motivation for that too.

what the fuck you lookin at?
I used to but now I get plenty of workout at work delivering fucking furniture. As a matter of fact tomorrow is gonna be an ass kicker day, LOTS of heavy shit on that truck!

I know, I know, it's not the same as working out, but I just to damn lazy after work to workout!

^^^Totally agree! used to work out, but I am just exhausted after work. always been very fit, just can never gain and KEEP some weight on. everyone's trying to lose it, and i was always trying to pack it on!

These quote should get you motivated.

From Pumpin Iron

Arnold Schwarzenegger: The greatest feeling you can get in a gym, or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is... The Pump. Let's say you train your biceps. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that's what we call The Pump. You muscles get a really tight feeling, like your skin is going to explode any minute, and it's really tight - it's like somebody blowing air into it, into your muscle. It just blows up, and it feels really different. It feels fantastic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[continuing about The Pump]
Arnold Schwarzenegger: It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven.

Personally I thing he's just being metaphorical because have just never felt that. :1orglaugh

Why is it that you're the only one who thought of that? Stay out of the locker room, bud.

Anyway... Lifting is the easy part. There's nothing that relives stress quite like getting in the squat rack and hitting 4-6 reps out of a deep hole. You can't tell me that there's anything else on your mind after doing that... well maybe getting under the HUGE rack that's on the treadmill.
Dieting is a whole different story. I don't know what's harder - putting on muscle or losing fat.

Definitely putting on muscle. The whole mentality is different. I started my workouts as a way to lose weight, and I did. I went from 225lb to 180lb, and then I bulked myself back up to 190 with weights. Gaining the 10 pounds was MUCH harder than losing the 45 pounds, just because I was stuck in that "weight loss" mentality, and didn't have a proper diet to maximize my gains. Like I said, nowadays its just sports. I've had it with the weights for now, though I do a lot of bodyweight exercises. You guys benching 400lb probably couldn't beat me in pushup count!

Don't worry. I have madd respect for those who have a physical job and still find time to get in the weight room. I know I'd have a hell of a time making it to the gym if I had to dig ditches all day or move heavy shit around. Funny thing is, some of these guys have naturally tremendous physiques. The biggest calves, forearms and backs usually belong to these guys. :hatsoff:

Oh and trained chest and calves today. Wasn't as strong as usual because I haven't trained my tri's in a couple of weeks, but still got a crazy pump. I'm starting to eat a lot more too. Tomorrow... back day!!!

I can just hear him recite every word of that, as he's become all the more public as of late. Every little incident - There's Arnol with the press hangin' all over him. :1orglaugh
