Didn't have the grades to get in on his own though,but since daddy Bush had gone there GWB like the other children of former graduates he was given special consideration.Actually the same kind of thing applies to McCain too ,father was an Admiral and thats how he got in the Naval academy and he just barely made it through,graduated 5th from the bottom of his class.Guess affirmative action of sorts is nothing new.

For the record, many of us here are married.. get laid regularly.. or are pornstars of some sort. This just happens to be a perfect forum to discuss many things. Let's face it, in terms of acquiring fame, power and fortune; getting shot down over Hanoi was the best thing that ever happened to McCain.

No doubt but helluva a thing to go through to achieve that.While I think the war in Vietnam was totally misguided I still give McCain his due for having gone through what he did as a prisoner.He is to be admired for his fortitude and physical courage.But that doesn't mean he should be next Prez lol.
But also John Kerry deserved to be acknowledged for his physical bravery in Vietnam which he displayed as much as McCain did if not even more.
