Which Fighting Game Should I Buy?

Ive got a ps3 and Im wanting to buy a fighting game and like the look of Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6 or MK vs DC. Any help on which is the best is really appreciated :hatsoff:

Dead or Alive is for 360 only nowadays. Unless he gets the PS2 DOA 2 game.

Beyond that I would go with DC vs Mortal Kombat.

I have heard if you like the old SFs, the new one is a must have. I still have yet to get MK vs DC but I want to try it out. I stopped playing Tekken after 4, kinda gave up on it because I thought it was that bad. I have been a big fan of Virtua Fighter on PS2 but don't know if they've been released on the new systems

I have SF4, if you liked the old ones then you should like this one. Its worth the money IMO. Haven't played Tekken 6 yet but if the old ones are anything to go by it should be good. Haven't even seen MK vs DC so i won't comment on that :). So in my opinion between Tekken & SF, i think id lean slightly towards SF, but Tekken does have a few more game modes, all SF has is arcade, challenge mode and online mode.

Or you could buy both? :D

The only one I've played is MK v.s DC, and that's a pretty decent title. I've heard good things about Street Fighter 4 too, but haven't played it personally yet.

I really do want the SF4 but Super SF4 comes out in April next year so dont know whether to buy one of the other ones and then buy that next year.

I would go with either SFIV or T6. Personally, I think MK vs DC is garbage. MK never really had great core gameplay (though I stil enjoyed some of the earlier games), it was more about ripping dudes hearts out and heads off and crap.
Now the thing that made Mortal Kombat what it was is gone. "Fatalities" are lame for the most part now. The game didn't even get the Mature rating.

Also take into consideration that SF and T6 both have very active communities online. Not sure if you play online, but if so, you will get a lot of replay value there. I very much doubt MK vs DC has much of a following online. It's just not taken seriously in the fighting game community.

That being said, if you are a very casual gamer, I guess you could still enjoy it. Just my :2 cents:

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
If you want a fighting game that's worth a cheap bargain, give Marvel vs Capcom 2 a good look (available on the PSN store)

I think I am gona go with SF4 as I do like to play online, thanks for your comments :hatsoff:

I know someone who plays HOURS of that Call of Duty Moder Warefare 2 game. It looks like it is pretty cool. Not really sure though....

Fighting games. Not war games, shooters or any of that.

Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, or Street Fighter for example. :hatsoff:

Always happy to help an oldhead gamer, dafro (I'm the same age as you).:D

I'll third that motion on Marvel vs. Capcom 2, great game. I think someone who isn't used to it would be scared off though, as there's always so much going on, and everything is always moving so fast.

It's the one any only game I can still kick ass in (75%+ win rate).
Storm/Cable/Cyke for the muthafuckin' win, bitches :pimpdaddy
