The former is composed of Greek "melissa" (also "melitta") = bee and "phobos" = fear, the latter has its first part from Latin "apis" = bee.

I am afraid of high altitudes. Just two days ago I was at the roof of the house, and I was affraid even to come to the edge. do not understand how can some people look down at the ground, or to lean out of a window up to the waist... or those who sit at the roof border and shake up their legs, like it is not a roof, but a couch
I wouldn't exactly call it a phobia, but I don't like the sea. It comes from being an extremely poor swimmer, so there's the risk of drowning that I don't like. There are also the many monsters lurking under the surface, that I know would all like to eat me. I don't like those either.

Spiders is really it! I'm terrified of those creepy little fuckers. Yet I'm strangely fascinated by them! They are cool to watch so long as they don't get on me...then I scream like a little girl!
