I'm from NY where, lets face it, the best pizza on the planet can be found. I'm an open minded person, but when it comes to pizza there are strict rules to be followed.
The rules can be flexible and even allow Grandma's Pizza and super thin crust pizza.
Pizza has a nice appropriately sized crust, cheese, and tomato. There are some acceptable toppings like meatball, pepperoni, pepper, mushroom - I'll even allow anchovies (although I will not eat it).
I'm disappointed in people topping pizza with ham, pineapple, bbq sauce, and all of the other toppings. It is...well it is just not right. I'm sure you enjoy it, but NY our pizza would kick that concotion's butt.
Best Pizza I've ever had was when I was on Long Island at Phil's in Massapequa.
