I went for the Caddy. Lincoln's are nice cars, and I have owned both Ford, and GM trucks..........But the Caddy just SCREAMS Guido....and I am Sicilian, so....

I've always wanted to get an old Caddy hearse. Something from the late '50's or early '60's' and customizing it.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
With the old ones (pre-1970), it's a close battle. But IMO, the new Lincolns have been totally pussified, while the new Caddys have only been partially pussified. Caddy has/had the CTS-V Coupe. That's a pretty bad ass car. I wouldn't buy one. But it is interesting, for a touring coupe. I'm not sure, but I don't think Lincoln has anything that really compares with the hot rod Caddy (which just ain't right - there should always be a hot rod Lincoln!).

This is an important fact also...I wouldn't own either car, if it weren't produced in a model year that made a big enough version to have a hood in comparable length, to that of a Kenworth.

Now, this is a topic I can get into.!

I've got a mental list of dream cars, and there's more Cadillacs on it than Lincolns.

However, the Lincoln that's on it is this:

One of my earliest childhood memories is seeing a picture of JFKs motorcade, and exclaiming "Holy shit, that car is cool!!" I've wanted one ever since.

The good thing is that I lucked out, since I actually like the hardtop version more, and those can still be found for less money. A lot less.

That said, there's plenty of Cadillacs that are badass, and cool at the same time...like the 1970 Coupe deVille that I saw - and heard - on U.S.40, complete with headers and glasspacks.

There is a better car than the Cadillac and the Lincoln, the 1970 Imperial Crown Southampton Lebaron, but had I to choose a Cadillac, it would be a 1970 Eldorado, the very best personal car ever made

neither. My brother is a mechanic and he'll tell you, both are pieces of shit. He will tell you though that if you want either, buy 50' and 60' models.

the early 70's models aren't bad either but after 1973 either Lincoln, Cadillac and Imperial have decreased in collectibility but also in quality and durability. Note also that after 1971 gross horsepower and compression ratios dropped significantly. But you can always find hi perf parts for the mopar 413ci golden lion/426ci maxwedge/440ci tnt engines, for the lincoln 462ci/460ci engines and for the cadillac 429ci/472ci/500ci engines. Those are torque monsters, with proper high perf parts, the 440ci engine can easily reach 680hp at 3000rpm and deliver a solid 700lbs/ft at the same rpm.

Who the fuck knows?! I couldn't get on all day yesterday, I figured they were doing repairs. Before that, it was acting bitchy to several others also.

Love that ride. I wonder if the B.M.V. would give me, "DTH MBL" for the plates? Oh...."EAT ME"!! Better, but far less likely.

BMW dropped in quality and design after 2000. Plus repairs cost a lot on a bimmer and it handles like shit under wet or snowy conditions.

B.M.V. is a shortened American way of saying bureau of motor vehicles....they issue plates, registration transfers and licenses. But if you feel yourself giving up on beemers, do a search for the BMW 4219 Eli, you'll feel better about them.
