What Would Your Acceptance Speech Be?

What would you say if you won a major award?

Mine would be along the lines of: "I'd like to thank myself, only myself and no one but myself." :thefinger

I honestly would never need an acceptance speech because I would never show up to the award shows. Well at least not something like the Oscars, I might show up to something like the People's Choice awards or the MTV Movie awards because they feature movies that people actually watch.

Since I make movies, I'll go with an Oscar acceptance.


"Wow... this means, so, so very little. To know that an exclusive academy of filmmakers who don't give two shits about the movie-going public, the people who have to clean **** out of sewers or take care of the elderly, would recognize me for this award is staggering. A hand made card on construction paper from a *** who liked my movie would mean more to me than this.

Making movies shouldn't be about all this self-congratulatory dick wagging, or about making sure that every guild, union, and trade group gets greased. How about we make great films for audiences for a while?

duh
...keep the 1st award acceptance speech really really short... it keeps them guessing & wanting more...
then
once my 2nd award will be won, I'd really have the floor, lay into them & stay on the stage mic really really long with a posative message & imaginary direction for the industry's future heading ect... until the orchestra music fades in or that guy with the giant oversized hook has to sling me by the neck to get me to the offstage catering
& leave saying;
"Yummmy, all this (thread) is making me quite hungry..."
(break to commercial)
