Check online for "service bulletins" for your car. The dealership and car maker is not under any legal responsibility to inform you of them, because they're not recalls.
In fact if you bring it in for stuff like an oil change, they don't even have to tell you then. Because it costs the dealership the money to fix it, not the car maker.
But they are required to fulfill and fix the problem free of charge.

When I bought my Jeep, there was a brake, ball joint, and some other service bulletin items. Strolled in there, pointed it out. Got new brakes, ball joints, etc.
