What percentage of porn video downloads have viruses?

I mean by posters who use sites such as fileboom, depositfiles, ********** etc. Generally when i download these videos, if the uploader of it is a moderator or has a ton of posts, usually i would just download it without thinking. I use microsoft essentials and sometimes panda antivirus. I know a few times when i try to download a video or so, there would be an error or message that prevents me from downloading it.


However, does anyone know what percentage of these videos contact some type of virus or keylogger or anything like that? The thing is if its someone who has lot of posts and say many ppl thank them or like them for the video, i would say the video is safe to download.


I know streaming through porn sites there won't be an issue b/c you are streaming it and not downloading it. How many of you have gotten viruses or keylogger or stuff like that due to downloading files over the internet? I know a while back i had few instances where i downloaded something... i dont think it was porn but some program and then i had to do a complete reinstall. The worst thing is the person find out your password for your sites, bank acct etc.


Obviously the best idea is don't download from any site you dont trust. But many sites have ppl post videos up. So unless its streaming video, then you can never be to sure? Is there any program that before you download, it could detect a virus or something then prevent it from downloading either before the download starts or when the download is happening and then it finds something fishy so it cancels the download automatically to be safe?

I don't get streaming sites. The quality is terrible and there are tons of popups. Sometimes my virus scanner goes nuts on the popups. I haven't downloaded much, but seems easy to avoid viruses if you don't open any exes.

I don't think the virus, spyware, tracker, etc is in the video files, it's most likely in the communication with the sites. So not downloading video files doesn't keep you safe, you are open to hackers by just surfing the site.

I use Linux, so I'm not really affected by such things but I'd say that the real problem is the gallery sites. Those places are full of infected web files, trojan-infested web code, and other things. Much of the infections I've seen on Windows computers comes from those. *******s are very difficult to lace with bad code unless someone actually means to distribute something bad because - by design - you can't download a ******* file, compromise it, and then seed it to the ******* peers. Anyone who does upload infected material likely gets banned and their *******s removed from trackers, making it impossible to propogate. With *******s, the real threat is someone using an open ******* to attack your computer or network with a DDOS attack like an ACK Scan. Disabling UPnP gets rid of a lot of network attacks.

Why would people even take the risk of getting their whole computer full of viruses by illegaly dowloading videos when they can join a paysite for 5 to 15 bucks? If they´re so fucking cheap then they deserve to get their harddrives full of viruses and trojans.

Even better than that to me is the quality and getting updates. I used to chase down stuff, but I really am not into that any more. Maybe its a financial thing to. I used to be really cheap, now I don't care about 20 or 40 bucks here or there.
