What makes people vote republican

AFA's list from his thread called "E-mail food for thought" belongs over here too as well as in all those Sarah Palin threads.

JUST FACTS AS FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Wait...I'm confused...

Greetings. I'm confused.....

* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're
"exotic, different."

* If you grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, you're a
quintessential American story.

* If your name is Barack, you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

* If you name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a
maverick.

* If you graduate from Harvard law School, you are unstable.

* If you attend 5 different small colleges before graduating,
you're well grounded.

* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer,
become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a
voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12
years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State
Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become
chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee,
spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13
million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign
Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs
committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the
city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000
people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people,
then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking
executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while
raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're
not a real Christian.

* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and
left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're
a Christian.

* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education,
including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of
society.

* If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only,
with no other option in sex education in your state's school system,
while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very
responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a
position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her
inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's
values don't represent America's.

* If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least
one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote
until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the
secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

Not the answer ...

Democrats are not the answer to Republicans.
Republicans are not the answer to Democrats.

When people start realizing that, and that they think more alike than differently, we'll be able to move forward in this country.

As much as I criticize JFK and his administration, he did say one thing that was damn on-point, "Ask not what your country can do for you ..." The problem is that Americans have forgotten that entire message ever since LBJ's concept of The Great Society.

Societies do things because they want to, by individual choice. The problem with federated services is that they are so removed from the people, and staffed with people getting paychecks with guaranteed job security.

Be it Agency/Socialist (Democrat) or Monopoly/Facist (Republcian).

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
What have they "Said" about Palin!
Add Sandra to the growing list of deranged Dem supporters against Sarah Palin...
** Leading Dem Barney Frank- Sarah Palin's family and pregnant teen are fair game.
** Chief Obama Supporter Howard Gutman- She's a bad mother.
** Senator Joe Biden- Palin would be a backward step for women.
** MTV Awards Host Russell Brand- Sarah Palin. She’s a VILF! A vice president I’d like to... fondle.
** Hollywood's Matt Damon- She's like this really bad Disney movie.
** Dem Leader Carol Fowler- She's only qualified because she did not have an abortion.
** Professor Wendy Doniger: Palin's biggest hypocrisy is her pretense that she's a woman.
** Comedian Bill Maher: Palin is a snarling bitch.
** Film critic Roger Ebert- She's a shallow, chirpy person with those vaguely alarming eyeglasses.
** Former Senator Lincoln Chafee- Palin is a "cocky wacko."
** Hollywood's Pamela Anderson- I can't stand her. She can suck it.
** Singer Pink- Sarah Palin hates women.
** Comedian Brad Garrett- Palin is white trash.
** Air America's Randi Rhodes- She can't be trusted with teenage boys.
** Leftist Juan Cole- Sarah Palin resembles those of Muslim fundamentalists.
** Author Cintra Wilson - She's a f**kable Christian Stepford wife in a ’sexy librarian’ costume.
** Wonder Woman Linda Carter- America should be very afraid.
** Hollywood's Lindsay Lohan- (She's) a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)- She doesn't know anything.
** Vagina Monologues author Eve Ensler- Sarah Palin does not much believe in thinking.
** Actress Sandra Bernhard- Turncoat bitch! Don’t you f**king reference Old Testament, bitch!

This right here might just be enough of a reason to vote republican.

Hiliary 2020
Who would the leaders of Taliban, Al Qauda or Colombias FARC vote for?

Like I've said before, I have no doubt that problems with these terrorist armies, venezuela, and every other trouble making, chaos causing group and government will only increase if a democrat is elected.
Why? Beacause they know they can get away with it, un challenged, un checked.
Carte blanche.

ChefChiTown

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Yeah that will show them. Vote on the future of this great Country based upon what Sandra Bernhard,Lindsay Lohan,etc.... says

We might as well. As it is, we vote on what a bunch of huge liars (AKA - THE CANDIDATES) say, so what's the difference? :dunno:

IMHO, people vote Democrat or Republican because they enjoy taking sides and don't really care what the truth is. They just like feeling like part of the team.

For example...

I grew up in Cleveland and have always been a die hard Cleveland Browns fan. Even though the Browns fucking suck (and I know it), I will always claim that the Browns are better than "your team" no matter what (unless you're talking about DA BEARS!!!). The same goes for people who "choose sides" with Democrat or Republican.

The feeling of "belonging" is quite something, ain't it?

Just to fuck with you...fuck da Bears! Viva los Raiders.:nanner:

I don't know cuz I have never voted for the repubicans. (I did typed it like that)

Wow, when resumes can be made to look really good.

When did the vp get's it against the presidential candidate?

The more negative things you "all" keep bringing about the moose skinner with lipstick the more you promote her...doing a good job for the Republicans.

Face it Barry's not the media sweetheart no more, Sarah "Shotgun" Palin is.

Why do I even care???!!! I did not voted Republican last time I voted for Mr. Horse face Kerry and wasted it. One vote does not make a difference.

Haven't ya noticed whatever bounce she gave the republicans is gone. The bloom is off the rose now and her 15 minutes of fame are almost over. She was something different for about a week so got some fanfare and attention on just that but now people are getting to see she is not only not anything special but the more we learn about her the less I think people like. She is not intellectually ready at all to take on the Bidens or Obama's of the world or deal with the complexity of the issues that face the country. Her answer to Charlie Gibson was "I don't blink" on things. It's like saying I don't think too much cause it makes my head hurt.

Re: Not the answer ...

When people start realizing that, and that they think more alike than differently, we'll be able to move forward in this country.

Let's start with ending the welfare state of affairs. No more freebies !
You see, it's all to easy to "think differently" when millions upon millions of americans can sit at home, do nothing but watch CNN, play computer games, net chat etc. and always rest assured that all of their bills will be paid. From their perspective, opposition IS a game.

The old timers used to say that "we need a good war" in order to reunite the people of this nation.
I say that we need a good depression, and by all indications, we're well on our way. . . just hope or pray that we're not annexed by a red army i.e.- (change), while in the process of said oncoming depression.

What was that skit I heard recently on the tonight show . .

Jay Leno hints that our economy is getting so bad here in America that Mexico is considering a fence on their border. :D

She's overly reliant on criticizing Obama in her school girl way, and then getting the crowd to do a "Rah, Rah, Rah", like a cheerleader. Sounds very childish.

"Come on America!, who wants to keep that great American lifestyle, raise your voices!" McCain may soon look like the complete fool he is.

Re: Not the answer ...

Regardless of who wins, our officials must reach across the isles. President Reagan passed many laws with a Democrat congress and pulled the country together. These batch of politicians seem to polarize and enrage the other side for extremist views.

Jim Crow -- The Remix

Jim Crow -- The Remix

Sept. 18, 2008--The Republican Party has finally found the outer edge of political cynicism; it's located in Macomb County, Mich. Operatives there have figured out an upside to the foreclosure crisis roiling black neighborhoods: It enables mass voter-registration challenges and thereby offers a powerful opportunity to suppress the vote in Democrat-leaning districts.

The scam is as convoluted as it is craven. It starts with a list of potentially ineligible voters. The Macomb County gang planned to create its list from recent foreclosure filings, according to the Messenger, based on the notion that people who have lost their homes are likely to be registered under incorrect addresses. The more traditional route is to simply flood largely non-white districts with mailers marked "do not forward," then compile the names that are returned undeliverable.

Most states maintain stunningly broad rules governing registration challenges, so this sort of flimsy evidence is enough to make sweeping claims of voter fraud. Armed with their lists, Republican operatives file mass challenges to thousands of registrations, charging that the listed residents are cheating the system by polling in the wrong precinct. At the polls, they then challenge individual voters, which often means those voters only get a provisional ballot.

Not surprising at all, they realize big turnout is their worst enemy.Turnout of people who have never voted before is what scares them the most as that will overwhelmingly go to Obama who is easily the candidate who has generated the most excitement among people who have never voted before.

This voter suppresion tactic has been used for severall elections ,it was used to great effect in Florida in 2000.Even now states are passing laws trying to make proving who you are more difficult. This is also part of the stategy to depress turnout and prevent people from voting.
