What is the official history of FreeOnes, when did it start, changes, etc

I'm sure there is plenty I'm missing but going through my notes, this is what I was able to come up with as far as milestones. Board wise, we've had a lot of controversy and characters over the years like BaconSalt and JSmoothpa.

I'm still waiting for my copy of Fantasy Fucking 1.

There's always going to be people who won't be happy with change. However, I have to say, I think the majority will be pretty happy with the new site. We have a really neat new video player and a search feature that will knock the socks off the grumpiest person. ;-) Oh, and it's completely responsive (finally).

We've only been working on the core features, so we haven't started on myFreeOnes features or decided what we're going to do with the board yet (keep vbulletin, switch to another out of the box forum software, or make something bespoke). That will come next year after we've launched the new site.

More than likely we will not continue the board in it's current state. We really can't do much with creating nifty new things with vbulletin and we really rather have discussion areas and whatnot be more integrated into the site itself.

It's just a question if we're going to try another software that is more flexible and better supported, or if we'll build it ourselves.

Rest assured, we will be able to retain all the threads and user info. That won't go away. Just how we'll use it? We'll have to see.

Honestly, dealing with the board is pretty far out on the planning list. Right now we're focusing on the core features of freeones.com itself (babes, photos, videos, links) and a few extras that will make it pretty fucking awesome for the open beta.

Don't worry, IF we decided to start from scratch I'd make sure we preserve the board content in an archive. It would be stupid to get rid of all this history and content. Good or bad, it's still 10 years of my life here. ;-)
