Just saw American Sniper last night. I have this thing where I try and see as many Oscar nominated films as possible and judge for myself which one is the best. I give myself an extra pat on the back if I see the film that won best picture before it is announced at the Oscars.
Sad thing about this year is I saw none of the films nominated before the Oscars so I'm making up for lost time.
I enjoyed American Sniper quite a bit. Any movie that can exceed 2 hours and still keep my interest scores well in my books.

Great film, but I think Whiplash was better.
Still needing to see Foxcatcher, and The Theory of Everything this week.
