What is the latest good film you watched ?

Ginger Snaps (2000). Come across this film by accident (it followed on from something else I was watching and I couldn't be bothered to change the channel) but was soon hooked after the first few mins, a real dark, gritty and depressing movie and quite unlike anything I've seen. A real brave attempt by the producers not to glam it up for Hollywood and as a result i've read it's become a cult classic like Donnie Darko. It may not have the greatest plot or substance and may have an undercurent theme drawing on female puberty but I certainly found it an interesting watch. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes morbid dark alternative films, although watching it for Katharine Isabelle alone is also a good enough reason. :drool2:

As a big movie fan I can say that fireproof and courageous are really good flicks to watch.

Hey guys,

My Uni friends have been left jaw-dropped by the trailers for "Act of Valor" which came out in the US on Feb 24th. Without posting spoilers, can you tell me if there could be a sequel or is this just a one-off tribute movie to the US Navy Seals?

I've gotta say, if it's as good as everyone says it is - couldn't we get another movie featuring America's greatest? :)

Thanks.

I recently bought a boxset which has 30 Carry On movies in it. Well 29 as one of them is just a best of compilation marketed as a Carry On movie it's self.

The last two I watched was... Carry on Cabby and then Carry on Spying. Fucking daft this lot so they are. Some of the wisecracks and situations are hilarious.

My favourite Carry On team members are as follows:

Kenneth Williams... Sid James... Angela Douglas... Jacki Piper... Juliet Mills... Kenneth Graham... Peter Butterworth... Fenella Fielding.

Carry On Cowboy.

The lovely and amazing Angela Douglas has her biggest Carry On role in this movie. She's great so she is.

His name is not Kenneth Graham... you dumb fuck!. It's Kenneth Connor.

Finally got around to watch "The Tourist" yesterday, and while I sure won't put it on my all time personal favs list, it certainly qualifies for this category because it was a good film. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just one more comment I wanna make: I usually really like to watch Paul Bettany (e.g. The Priest, Legion) because he's a cool dude, but I think he was totally miscast here. He could have portrayed Reginald Shaw if they were going for a younger guy, but the Scotland Yard inspector, that was wrong.

Was King of the Board for a Day
Game Change. Ed Harris played a pretty good McCain, but Julianne Moore stole the show as Palin. I daresay her impression is even more spot-on than Tina Fey's, and I'll be very disappointed if she doesn't receive at least a nomination for her role.
