Loved the nudity in it.
I saw "The Great Hack" on Netflix, about Cambridge Analytica (CA). Wow.. The firm was involved in several other countries' elections.. Some tidbits:
- it convinced young blacks in Trinidad to not vote, to show their discord with the Government; the Indians took control of the country;
- it convinced Brits to vote for Brexit by drowning swing voters with images of Eastern block refugees swarming the country;
- during a government investigation, one of the CA employees said that they swung the US 2016 election for Trump by manipulating 77,000 voters in three states.
CA had access to 30M Facebook user accounts. So, 77K over 30M is 0.26 percent of the users for which it had data for.
One of the CA employees said that the data set, algorithms used, and methods used to target users / the psychological manipulation are deemed "weapons grade," and are prohibited from sharing with companies / other countries under export control..

#measwell - This one already appears in the thread a couple of times. Gyllenhaal was an interesting character here. (possible spoilers) The story gets a little romantically sideways, and ends abruptly, I thought. It wants to ask more questions than it does, but not bad. B, B+Nightcrawler

It's kinda like Evolution. Remember that film? This one's about this young guy (Dylan O'Brien) who's in love with this chick (Jessica Henwick). That's all fine and good, except that the world has been overrun by giant mutant insects and lizards, forcing everybody to live in underground "colonies." Problem is, the dude and his chick live in different colonies 100 miles apart. But that won't deter this smart-alecky yet paranoid and powerless schmuck who's better with a spatula than with a spear. To the surprise of his colony family, he embarks on a journey to find his lost love...braving an apocalyptic countryside full of mutant terrors and hackneyed special effects. Plus he has Michael Rooker and his little sidekick to help him along. Oh, and a dog. It's a cute movie that's run its course before. But it has charm. O'Brien delivers his often chuckle-worthy lines in a dry and effective manner. There are funny references and nods to other films...which seems to be the menu in films lately. So often it's a mistake to hang the humor on just one character, but the kid pulls it off adequately. It's a fun date movie, and it's not without its moments of smile-inducing allure. Go ahead and brave your DVD player. Bring along your girl or beau. And kill some giant centipedes. B-

Pretty good pacing for 3 1/2 hours. DeNiro, Pacino, and Pesci all turned in good performances. Ray Romano too was terrific in a non-comedic role. Scorsese is always great doing these type of films.

I've seen a few hallmark movies, and rom-coms, but only because the lead actress was hot.
I watched one of those Aurora Teagarden films a few months ago because I'm a huge idiot but at least Lexa Doig was in it. Doesn't make me any the less a huge idiot though.
