Outstanding film. I was only 9 when it was released- but I vaguely remember it on the covers of most of the magazines at the grocery store, a lot of people on TV talking about it. I thought it was an excellent film when I finally got to watch later on VHS. Gent did a ********c job writing the book. I grew up in Dallas, and my Dad did business with the Cowboys for many years. It was unflattering but very accurate. It seems like they always screw up the good stories adapting them to film. But they definitely got it right this time. I thought Mac Davis did a better job of acting than Nick Nolte. I'm not an expert on acting, but the guy who played Tom Landry was pretty convincing, lol. Happiness is Lubbock... RIP Mac Davis
