The last good flick I watched was called Good Dick.
Not what it sounds like in the least.
It was a pretty slow moving indie flick about a girl with major intimacy issues that has a penchant for vintage soft core porn, and the recovered alcoholic video store clerk that falls for her for no reason.
Most critics hated it, but I thought it was pretty damn terrific.

That's safe to admit since this is a forum. Try saying that infront of people offline and you will be trying to outrun the pitchfork and hound crowd.
It is a movie for the select few I'll admit. Not everyone will catch on to the style of humour or emotion found within the movie. I had a tear in my eye in the final scene of the movie with Elvis's final words and the situation being wrapped up. I think he used his immortal line to finish the movie before he closed his eyes for the final time... "thank you very much!".
Don Coscarelli did well with this movie. One of his best infact.
A line that always raises a smile from me is when Elvis kills the scarab in his room by frying it with the electric heater. He says to it as it's frying "Never... ever... fuck with the King!" lol
