Gran Turino wasn't bad. Eastwood was a grade A asshole in that movie.

So what do film snobs like yourselves want in a movie? I rather liked the movie, especially in 3D (I wore the glasses at work later) (when Fergie walked off the stage and saw me wearing movie theater 3D glasses she did a double take and smiled
), but I don't consider myself to be a film snob. I thought the mythology, from what I can remember, was accurate, the special effects were good, and it didn't drag ass. What made it so awful?

It was just cheesy, badly acted, cringe worthy dialogue and I wasn't too impressed with the visuals either. Basically the Transformers 2 of the Greek mythology realm

I am way far from a film snob thank you very much! The movie was complete shit, I'm a huge mythology fan and I didn't care if the story was changed from the original because myths are always evolving (the original didn't even follow the myth exactly and neither did this one). The movie didn't make you care for anyone, there was no charm about it. I honestly didn't give two shits if Andromeda was sacrificed or saved because there was nothing there and some of the characters seemed like they were just there for no reason (like the Gods). Zeus, Hades, Io, and maybe Calibos were the best characters in the movie. The story seemed like a rush job so that they could showcase the special effects and there were times where the CGI wasn't even consistent (Medusa anyone?) It's a shame because Clash of the Titans was a film that could have really benefited from an update but this new version failed on all accounts. I am so glad I didn't see this in 3D because I would have hated it even more.
