Not necessarily a good film, but sometimes you just have to laugh at how blatant ripoffs can be...

^^
Ok, having watched the film, or at least most of it (I had to skip through some of the really terrible parts), I have to say it is so laughably bad, I don't even want to give it credit for being a parody.

It's a 60's monster film with 90's CG with high school acting and script that was probably written by the monkey in the title.
I would have given a little credit if they at least tried to give the lizard a little more original design, rather than literally copying western godzilla. Like come on, at least try to go for the parody look...

I will give Eric Roberts credit for whoring himself out for literally any indie project out there. You might recognize him as he's in so many movies/shows every year it's actually pretty impressive.

When speaking of ripoffs I always give a mention to the Bollywood ripoff of Nightmare On Elm Street, Mahakaal The Monster. Tandoori Freddie Krueger has a mullet and there are several song and dance numbers in the film.

And yes, of course, I own the DVD.

Have you guys watched the youtube series called "Pitch Meeting"?
It's now my fav thing on youtube. Basically they go through the entire plot of movies while hilariously poking holes in it.

I had no idea what the twilight series was about, other than something about vampires, and just LOL'd at this:

The guy's reaction to hearing about one of the main characters imprinting on a baby and looking to hook up with it after he raises her is priceless.
(Apparently that's actually a thing in the story)

The series has over a hundred of these pitches, so you'll definitely find ones for your fav films.
