What is the latest good film you watched ?

Herzog/Kinski's great remake of the original and Malkovich/Dafoe's fun flick about the making of the silent classic.

Salt (2010)

Good movie, seen it a few times, but every time I see the title, I get this idea that the poster should have been two images of Angelina, one blond and one with dark hair, and the title of the movie would be Salt & Peppa.

The Great Raid 2005

I'd never heard of this story until I read Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides and this movie came out shortly after. American forces led by General MacArthur are retaking the Philippines in 1945 and a mission is launched behind enemy lines to rescue 500 American POWs held captive since the fall of Bataan 3 years prior. This was of no strategic value towards the overall war effort and the chances of success were slim but it was the right thing to do as these POWs would surely be massacred. The Raid on Cabanatuan prison camp has gone down as the most successful rescue mission in U.S. military history. To Lt. Col Henry Mussi, Capt. Robert Prince and the men of the 6th Ranger Battalion, the Alamo Scouts and the Filipino guerillas - thank you, and God bless you for what you did.
