What is the big, honkin' deal about secondary threads???

I understand that we don't want 1000 different threads about each model/actress. I understand that people should use the search feature. I understand that threads will be merged. What I don't understand is why every time someone wants to maybe go with an idea that may have come up in the past, someone else is always jumping down their throat. Someone is asking a perfectly relevant question about Patricia Ford on the Models board. Why is it such a Capitol crime that he started a new thread about it? Are you really that inconvenienced about it? Is in hurting your enjoyment of this board in any way? I enjoy lurking here very much. Even though I don't contribute, I appreciate everyone who does. The only part I personally don't like is all the complaining about the search button. I'm honestly not trolling here. I'm asking honest questions here and I appreciate honest answers.
