What Is The Best Way To Post Pictures On This Forum?

Uh .. are you "sloppy mouse clicking," and clicking the 6th icron from the right, the .. paperclip? That icon is to insert a link. You want to click on the icon to the right of it: a square, mimicking a sun over a forest.

I recently "discovered" another way to avoid uploading pics directly to FreeOnes. There are a bunch of sites out there where when you click the thumbnail, it pops up a window with the picture, like this one: https://www.cumshotblowjob.com/galleries/blowjob-shoulder-massage/

I used to save the image then upload to FreeOnes. Now, using Firefox (and likely other browsers), you can right-click the pop-up image and then click "Copy Image Link". That gets you a URL you can use to link to the picture instead. The difference in quality is startling. Here's an example from that site:

If you use FreeOnes to upload images, it downsizes them to a maximum of 758 pixels on the longest length; whether it is height (portrait) or width (landscape). Whilst you can drag it out so that it appears bigger, it will actually make the image look worse than it does already because you are making a lo-res image bigger rather than resizing the original image. It's already been compressed by the time you've uploaded it to FreeOnes.

So, in order to continue doing what you were doing @Slowhand69; you will simply need to use a different image host. When you insert the auto-generated forum code it gives you to post the image; it will appear at the maximum dimensions that can fit on the page embedded within the forum; and anyone can see it at it's absolute largest size by clicking the link to it.

BTW, Abload states that you cannot upload porn in it's terms of use. So as long as you make a wise choice with your next host; then you shouldn't have the problem of having images removed later down the line. There's not a lot that can be done about that now.

Thanks for your advice :) I think I am going to use pimpandhost or can you recommend another image host site?

Try https://www.picr.de - the important part of t he website looks like this:

You have to register with any valid mail adress you have, then, you just drag & drop the pix into the light orange box, and get ready-to-insert image links, already wrapped in IMG-tags

@DrakeM - that's not a recommended practice because it is posting a link directly from another site. They uploaded it for no other reason than for it to be viewed on their site. They don't want people linking to it and using their bandwidth. The day could come where they disable hotlinking or bans FreeOnes and then your images will no longer work. This is why you are supposed to use reliable image hosts.

Your example does however highlight what I was talking about in terms of the differences between using FreeOnes and not; although you are most definitely supposed to use an image host rather than linking directly to content other websites have uploaded themselves for their own purposes.

@Slowhand69 - I have always used imagebam.com but that doesn't mean it is the best one. People often ask me like I know them all... I don't. I've used that one for years without any issues and haven't really needed to try anything else. And the fact of the matter is, an image host is fine as long as it loads your images quickly and doesn't have periods of downtime etc. As previously stated, as long as it's a site that allows porn in their terms and conditions then theoretically anywhere is as good as anywhere else! If your image is displayed; good... if it isn't; bad.

As Steve already mentioned, FreeOnes is extremely reliable - it's just that you won't be able to post those hi-res images that many people like yourselves want to. FreeOnes is more than sufficient for 99% of the stuff I post these days cos it's as easy as dragging and dropping files into your posts and takes no time at all.

It's not a recommended practice, but it isn't banned on the board as far as I know. However, the main reason I don't have a problem with hot-linking is that I ALWAYS include a link to the original site with the image. If somebody likes the image, they click the link to get more. I'm literally driving traffic to their sites which is why they put the images up there in the first place. At the cost of some hot-linked images, they get more eyes on their product which I'm sure they would agree is a good trade-off. I totally agree with you that hot-linking without including a source link is a bad practice and shouldn't be used.

As for the future where sites may disable hot-linking, I'm fine with that for three reasons. First, links don't last forever - try looking at links from 2006 or even 2013, most are gone now. Second, since I always post the source URL, that can still be clicked even if the hot-linked image won't display in the post. Third, it is my experience (posting since 2011), that sites are becoming more open to hot-linking. There are multiple major TGP hosting sites that now allow hot-linking that didn't when I started posting here 12 years ago. Other than babesource.com, nearly all major TGP sites that I post from now allow it.

Nope. I am making sure to hit the correct button. Even when I hover over it, it says Insert Image (Ctrl+P). But when I click it just has a drop down to insert a URL, nothing else.

Here is the explanation. You physically can't do it yet. https://www.freeones.com/forums/thr...d-before-posting.573233/page-12#post-11552571

For the time being, all you can do is insert links to images uploaded elsewhere and being able to use FreeOnes to upload attachments is something that comes in time - which is why you only see the option to paste in a link.
