Definitely an exotic honeymoon. A ring is nice and you can get one that's not too expensive, but the honeymoon is where the real fun happens.

The ring is just a piece of metal. Having an expensive ring won't make my girl and me happier (I wouldn't marry a girl who would consider being offered luxury thing as a way to be happy).

I stand by my opinion that both is better. If she doesn't get the ring she's hoping for, then you're likely gonna have a bitter woman on your hands and the chance of a sexless honeymoon, which means that the money spent on the honeymoon was ******. Get her the ring. Have her at least chip in for the honeymoon and work the rest out. Or compromise on the ring, go a tad bit smaller on the bling, which'll save you hundreds, and put that towards the honeymoon. Try to make both happen, so both of you are happy, not just one of you.
