What game did you absolutely dislike and could not come to finish?

well i play videogames for "fun" i know crazy concept, not for the shitty story that even hollywood would be embarrassed to release. and yes i played bioshock for 5 hours, and it was the same shitty hallways, the same shitty enemies, the same gimmick attacks, 0 creativity, you have to be a fucking robot to enjoy that. fallout 3 was really shitty and boring in its own right but atleast you could do shit like tell someone youre on their side but then in slow motion blast their head off from behind, that is "fun". so in conclusion: youre wrong, bye.

RE5....

I waited all year for that game and was disappointed. RE5 was an ok game, but I didn't enjoy it. I thought RE4 and even Resident Evil: Code Veronica was more enjoyable to play.

I hate Code Veronica. I have that shit and still cant beat it.
I somehow reach the first form of that plant/vine lady but I dont have the magnum and she keep killing me.
I beat Resident Evil 1,2 and the best one Part 3.
Resident Evil Nemesis 3 Nemesis was kick ass. I love that game, especially the Mercenaries side/mini game.

You couldn't beat Resident Evil: Code Veronica!? That game was easy compared to RE 1-3. Here's a good tip to beat RE: CV - which I'm currently playing atm - Shoot a zombie 1 time abd use your knife. Slash the knees right before they grab you and they fall. I've just started to play Chris side of the story and I have nearly 500+ handgun ammo and 100% on all other weapons.

And RE3... that was the first video game to scare the crap out of me(Silent Hill 2 being the next). Walking down a hallway and you hear...

"STARS!!!"

... you better run!! And he opens doors!?!?! haha

I have Code Veronica at the moment but I messed it up by giving Claire all my bad ass weapons, like my grenade launcher with all the different grenades and shit and then when she broke her ankle or leg or whatever and I am now using Chris he only has like a handgun and the crossbrow crap. If I had known that Claire would be out of the game I wouldnt have stacked her up with everything.
I am screwed,I would have to play it from the start, man fuck that shit.lol:mad:

Silent Hill 1 scared the shit out of me,I dont play certain games in the night,I dont play Silent Hills,Resident Evils,Metal Gears,Max Paynes,Castlevanias,Hitman's not even Grand Theft Autos I play in the nights.
Those games I play in day light.lol:o
I only play fighting games in the night.

cool derail, keep it up buddy!

Thanks for the reminder afk, got lost in RE memory lane :D.

The Thing (PS2) - I picked it up a few days ago for only $3.... and what a piece of crap. I loved the movie and thought... the game might not be that bad. I was wrong. The $3 price should of warning sign. What a waste of money.

hey its all good buddy, RE4 was a good game. Has there ever been a good movie game? i cant think of one, i think i can preemptively name every movie game to this thread. Especially shit like Spiderman. You already have a spiderman game, but then they make a "spiderman the movie, the game" you know that shit will suck.

Spiderman 2 was ok - I just swing around the city most of time for fun. Also Bruce Campbell was the tour guide in the beginning of the game. Anytime a game has "the movie" or based off the movie in the title it usually means the designers rushed to make a crappy game just to make quick $

Batman Begins for PS2
EA Sports made it. It's good, graphics are superb, gameplay is awesome. Uses footage from the actual movie. Controls are sometimes nonresponsive and 'jerky'. But that's about it. There is even a Batmobile driving sequence in there and they use the same game mechanics from Need For Speed Underground for it. And everyone knows Need For Speed Undergound series were good. I like the Batmobile sequence alot. I am unfortunately stuck though.
I am stuck in the part where Ducard and his cronies torch the manor. I somehow cant find where to escape, the entire place is in fire and you run out of oxygen pretty quickly.

maybe, maybe im just a GEnXer and youre a GenYer, my idea of fun is arcade style gaming, where shit is flashing and you dont know what the fuck is going on, old school shooters and the like, excitement, psychedelic style games, SNK arcade games of the olden days. I think productionwise crysis and bioschock and games like that are fantastic, but they are boring and on rails where the same thing happens over and over. I know the source material is System Shock 2 which is think is just amazing for its time, but I think bioshock is a little too faithful in recreating some of that gameplay, since a lot of it was due to hardware limitations at the time, i felt they could have done more but they didnt want to take any risks because of how beloved SS2 is, which is sort of the same problem Fallout 3 suffers from to some degree. but overall I felt it was the better game, whereas Bioshock just did nothing for me, i dont play GTA4 for the story I play it for killing cops and running over pedestrians like a normal person.

blame that on the "EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS" deals that happen because you damn sure know EA would be putting out some unbelieveable baseball games by now.

I'd love to blame it on that, but this is the third iteration of this broken franchise that 2K has enjoyed the benefit of exclusivity. At this point, if you can't even put out a working game, and a game that is even worse than last years, strips aways features and offers little to no support for its customers, you're looking at a useless dev team, plain and simple. They've even had the head developer from the MVP series come in, and STILL didn't deliver on anything. 2Ks baseball dev team is just a sham at this point.

You're absolutely right Shayd, an example of how to do things RIGHT with exclusivity is Madden. They stole football yes, the first Madden after that was ok but lacked and got cursed alittle. However the last 2 Maddens kicked ass especially last years and 2010 is gonna be a great game of football.

So if EA can make great football even though they have the luxury of being the only company with the NFL license then 2k can still make good NHL's and baseballs.

i honestly have not like any 2K GAMES EVER EXCEPT THE FOOTBALL games. i think the madden games looked to cartoonish compared to the 2K player models. i never had madden games due to the terrible graphics. i have bought the last 2 but i have almost lost interest in football games since 2K5 w/TO on the cover
i think NHL2k has stunk always.EA 100%
baseball 2K has always been garbage since i can remember
i don't really play basketball games but i think the 2K for dreamcast was the best Basketball game

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
Yea Sorry I just didn't like wandering around no mans land in Fallout 3 and getting out of the base was so hard. My favorite game so far has been Bioshock I LOVE it!!

But you get to nuke a town! That alone was worth it! :1orglaugh
BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams comes out Nov. 3rd

Ok... I'm officially in love with Nina Mercedez. Any woman that can say they loved/played Bioshock is a catch.

Just the fact that she plays video games at all is a bonus!

Right dude? A woman that enjoys videogames is hard to come by,even today with the videogame business being as massive as it is. That is amazing though how Nina plays games, likes shooters such as bioshock, and is an amazing woman beauty and intellect wise. All 3 of those things are too rare in this world.

Eh, I still have some issues with the Madden franchise, because aside from graphics, the upgrades from year to year are minimal. NHL however is going to be one hell of a good game.

i cannot wait.
i still have NHL08 which i thought was a great game.
i guess i can trade that in now. i held onto it just in case 09 was screwed with.
now i have MLB08 for the PSP which i play a few games of everyday (road to the show) and i bought the MLB09 and they went and changed the base running controls from 08.... and it is the worst control scheme ever i won't even play it because it's so stupid using the analog control to run bases. when the screen flips the runner goes back to the previous base.
they really blew it with that change

Agreed.

Just to give a few more examples of reasons the game is broken (all of which I have personally experienced):

-Franchise mode freezes regularly, and any attempt to save the franchise will produce a corrupt save file.
-Online play is absolutely horrid game-play wise. The latency has improved, but pitch recognition has gone down the toilet.
-Statistics in game are wrong, and often classified incorrectly. For example, I had Jack Cust come to the plate, and his tag said he was a "Gold Glover in 216", and after the game, which was midway through the season, he suddenly disappeared. Gone from the stats, gone from my lineup, just gone. I tried the player search, with no success, and gave up.
-Injuries are dealt with horribly. Matt Holliday strained his neck, was to miss 1 game, and never recovered. The only way to get rid of the injury was to send him to the minors, which was problematic because the game never let me bring him back up.
-The animations are the same from 2K7, but with more glaring errors. I can't tell you how many times I've had a ground ball hit directly to the shortstop that just goes through him.
-No ability to edit attributes/player looks/stances/deliveries. What the fuck was the point of "Signiture Styles" if only the original player can use them?

And I've got more. I was actually so pissed off by the game that I wrote an entire bug report and sent it to 2K studios.

On a happier note, NHL10 is looking better and better every time I see it.

If they were to add just a few more upgrades to the NHL09 formula then it would still be worth gettin' pumped for NHL10. Shooters vs. Sports multiplayer is an apples to oranges comparison but when it comes down to just plain old fun, I'd have to say NHL09 and hockey games in general are the funnest multiplayer games there are in my opinion.
