I've got a big fuckall list of games to go through (this isn't even all of them, actually)...I more recently played through some of the ones in bold...
ZSNES (Super Nintendo/Super Famicom games)
Chrono Trigger (Compendium Retranslation) - Great game that I've already played dozens upon dozens of times. Their translation brings a little more light to some things and is just nice to see because I'm a bit of a purist in regards to translations.
Der Langrisser - Pretty cool oldschool SRPG that starts out a lot like Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis in that you answer all of these questions that kind of sorts out your character's various attributes. It's actually Langrisser 2 and there was also a version on the Genesis.
Dragon Quest V (byuu translation) - I see DQIV as being the start of the really impressive Dragon Quest games and this is just a greater example of that. I can't wait to see the DS remake as well. I haven't even gone through it very far and already know that it's one of the 16-Bit gen's greatest RPGs.
Live-A-Live (Aeon Genesis translation 2.0) - I've played through most of LaL before, but this new translation is just so much cleaner & more accurate that I had to pick it up. LaL is one of my favorite 16-Bit RPGs. It's a very light & breezy sort of RPG that brings to mind Chrono Trigger in theme.
VBA (Gameboy Advance games)
Advance Wars - I enjoy this game even though at times it's just hard as hell because I'm still not used to SRPGs that make you play through some maps in one specific way and if you mess up the plan, you're practically screwed and might not know it for a few turns in. The harder maps can usually take me 2 or 3 tries to really figure out how the map is supposed to be played. It makes going through it pretty satisfying though, though it takes so long that idk when I'll ever get through THIS one, much less the sequels...
Breath of Fire II - idk how many times I've tried to get through this one...It's one of the best of the series (my fav is BoF3 because Rei & Teepo rulz). Very oldschool & classic RPG gameplay.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow - I get CONSTANTLY lost in this...I usually am okay with getting lost because it means that I get to level in my confusion, but AoS gets ridiculous sometimes for me...I'll scan over the whole map and think, "have I tried that place? could I go through that area yet? why haven't I gone throught there yet again?"...V_V
Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart - The prequel/sequel to DQVII and it's a wacky sort of take on the DQM series as well...I'm basically only continuing to play this, I think, because I liked Keifer...Though I'm really just not far enough in to judge the game properly...It's kind of strange/cool though because it's not just about monsters, but also your other party members get to battle alongside them. Kind of a neat take on the series.
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls - I've beaten the original FFI and have gotten pretty far in FFII...
Final Fantasy IV Advance - I've beaten the FFChronicles (PSX) version...
Final Fantasy V Advance - I've beaten the FFAnthologies (PSX) version (or was it a ROM? I forget...this one's been a while since last playing)...
Final Fantasy VI Advance - I've beat the SNES version and FFVI is probably my favorite FF (alongside FFT)...
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - This is an ok SRPG, though I'm going to go through Tactics Ogre before I even pick this one up again, I think...
Fire Emblem - Great SRPG that's a little more forgiving than the Advance Wars games...sometimes...>_>
Golden Sun - Great RPG despite the fucktarded oldschool targeting system...I really enjoy telepathy and think it'd be really cool to incorporate in other RPGs.
Grand Theft Auto Advance - Oldschool GTA gameplay is kind of fun to get back into every once in a while.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - Another pretty good Mario RPG...but idk if any of them will be quite as good as the Legend of the Seven Stars...
Megaman Battle Network VI: Cybeast Falzar - I just recently & finally got through Battle Network V, which took me a helluva long time to get through (liberation missions are HELL)...This one's pretty good, though there seems like a lot of time NOT playing as Megaman...Lots of controlling other Navis to help a subdued Mega or to get through other areas that require a certain Navi's power...even though Mega has ACCESS to their power!! Still another solid entry in the series (if you've played any of them, you should know whether or not you'd like any of the others)...I know part of me will be sad when I'm done with the BNs...the Star Force series isn't quite the same enough for me, HA!
Mother 3 - Who ISN'T playing this now that the fan translation has been released (like a couple weeks ago, I think?)...I don't know wtf Ninny is doing NOT releasing this game. It's freakin GREAT! The only reason I can think is because of the contrasting graphics and themes (which while quite often keep the lightheartedness of the series also get quite dark)...If you haven't picked it up yet, DO IT!!
Phantasy Star Collection (1~3) - I don't honestly know if I'll ever get through PS1 (maps needed BAD)...I was also stupid upset that this collection doesn't include by far the BEST PS game, Phantasy Star IV: End of the Millennium...but whatever...still a solid enough bunch of oldschool RPGs, I guess...
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - For action/adventure/platforming fun (which I usually don't get into much), this is pretty good.
Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon - Great remake of one of the Genesis' great, kind of simplistic SRPG series.
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis - Probably the best SRPG on the GBA. The people that were expecting FFTA to be FFT2 should stop being disappointed and pick this up instead.
Tales of Phantasia - I played the SNES version a bit before, but was put off by the random encounter rate, but I've been going through it some more and find the game to be in general pretty enjoyable.
Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone - A sequel to one of my favorite RPGs (also on GBA) Riviera: The Promised Land...It's a very neat, unique take on the SRPG genre. Takes a little bit to really get into the thick of it, but when it does, it gets pretty interesting & fun.
no$gba (Nintendo Dual Screen games)
Disgaea - Great SRPG...Makes me want to play either the PS2 or PSP versions, though (which I hear are mostly better)...but it's still a great play. The Item World kicks my ass all over the place, though...
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - A damn fine entry in the DQM series...otherwise, probably a passable take on the Pokémon genre.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates - A pretty good action/adventure RPG, though spellcasting is kind of awkward.
Final Fantasy III - I've beaten the oldschool 8-Bit version and it's among my favorite Job Class FFs...Great remake.
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings - I don't really like RTSs much...but this is ok, I guess...
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift - I like this one a bit more than FFTA, but I probably won't pick this up again before Disgaea...
Heroes of Mana - Another ok RTS (wtf are they doing with the Seiken Densetsu/Mana series anyways??)
Kirby Superstar Ultra - I used to have & beat the SNES version and playing through this version is a nice lil nostalgic blast from the past.
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - I think I got stuck following the Ghost Ship into the next map area or something...I'm not much of a fan of the stylus controls...Give me Minish Cap over this any day.
Lunar: Dragon Song - A decent RPG, but it shows its age as the first RPG available for the DS.
Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time - Another good entry in the Mario RPG "series"...
Megaman Star Force II: Zerker X Ninja - I found the first Star Force to be incredibly easy comparatively to the Battle Network games, but that might've been partly due to me abusing the cipher codes (giving me access to incredibly powerful chips/cards/whatever they're called, I forget)...I did the same in this one, but I promise myself not to in SF3...Still enjoyable.
Megaman ZX - Ugh...I got stupid fucked up by a boss in the base...I need to maybe YouTube a strategy on him or something sometime...I don't know why Megaman 9 didn't just have this level of graphics, but whatever I guess...*grumble*pandering to nostalgia*mumble*...
Metroid Prime: Hunters - This is the first 3D Metroid I've really played...It's ok for what it is...but I still think Samus belongs in the sidescrolling realm she started out in...I hope they remake Return of Samus...V_V Jumping in this game from high platforms puts a bit of fear in me...
New Super Mario Bros. - Bleh, I'm not much of a platforming fan, but I guess Mario's ok...Just a lot of more of the same, though...I was expecting more...
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney: Justice For All - I really enjoy the Phoenix Wright games so far...This one is a little less forgiving than the last, and the unlocking secrets thing seems a bit unnecessary, but otherwise another solid game.
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence - I never really played through much of the original RE originally...I think I'm almost done with this, but I've got a lot of box running (going from box to where I need to be to typewriter to box etc) to do that I'm putting off.
Trauma Center: Under the Knife - Doing the star thingy is difficult for me on emu...so much so that I'm not sure if I'll get back to this one any time soon even though it's quite a fun play...
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Spirit Caller - Yeah, I play the Yu-Gi-Oh! video games...sue me...I haven't picked this one up in some time, though...
WISH ME LUCK~!! >_>
What the-...new games are coming out!?! WHYYYYYYYYY!!!
