Another angle... There are actually companies - BIG companies - that make more money after taxation than before.

This is so wrong.

THIS MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT

NOVEMBER 03, 2011 —
As the first decade of the 2000s drew to a close, the two downturns that bookended the period, combined with slow job growth between, clearly took their toll on the nation’s less fortunate residents.

Over a ten-year span, the country saw the poor population grow by 12.3 million, driving the total number of Americans in poverty to a historic high of 46.2 million. By the end of the decade, over 15 percent of the nation’s population lived below the federal poverty line—$22,314 for a family of four in 2010—though these increases did not occur evenly throughout the country.

Anyone who supports, and or looks forward to Socialism, and or Communism is totally fucked up in the head. Show me where that has ever worked out well.

I couldn't agree more. Just look at all the wonderfull stuf capitalism has given us. We have world peace, no poverty, there's enough food for everyone on the planet at a reasonable price, no inequality, affordable healthcare for everyone, there are enough jobs for everyone on the planet and we all make enough money to live a decent life. Yeah man, capitalism rocks!

I say lets start a witch hunt and hang all the socialist and communist pigs who are threatening the superiorety of capitalism.

These people stand for the people against other people they don't like because they aren't those people.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Ok so everyone here like it or not knows what the problem or what parts of the problem is so how do we fix this?? Its one thing protesting saying you want change but exactly what do you want to (realistically) happen??

Not sure what you mean by that, so I'll itemise points:
1) If you're claiming that peacefull protests have no chance of changing the world, then need I point out that the peacefull protests of the late, great Ghandi succeeded in removing the single most powerfull empire (the English empire) from India.
Compared to the English empire, the worlds most powerfull military force at the time, in possession of two thirds of the surface of the globe (more than any before or since, despite Russia's massive headstart granted her by her own territory), the corporations, with (officially at least) limited capabilities should not present such a challenge, if only the people can become as one mind and mobilise together against the threat.

2) If you're asking what people desire as a result of changes, then I'd say that equal distribution of resources would be a good start or fair minimum.

Ok now there is a lot of differences between a 'rent a cop' getting paid minimum wage and some fucker named Kuntz that got his jollys off popping off Jews in the head from the safety of the watch tower he occupies!

If you disagree with people alright, don't start shooting your mouth off saying stupid shit that totally undermines any good valid points you've actually made!

I wasn't talking about a specific case, I was talking about a guard in a Nazi concentration camp who's only doing his job.

1: Lobbying needs to be outlawed. How can we ever expect our government to act in our best interest when it can so easily be bought.
2: Our government needs to go. All those asshats in Washinton have been in power way to long and have shown time and time again they are unable to solve the problems the US faces. It's time for a fresh start and a new generation to take the helm.
3: a multi party political system. The democrats and republicans know they'll be in power on and off and because of this both parties have become way to comfortable. A multi party system brings "competition" and forces parties to actually work and earn the voters vote.
4: The law that says a corporation is a natural person needs to be scrapped asap.
5: the banking world needs to be regulated. They've shown their greed and are unable to regulate themselves. Before everything was deregulated banks used to be small(er) companies with ties to the community and actually worked for their customers. We need to go back to that.

:yesyes: Couldn't have said it better.
I can't believe there is a law that says that a corporation is a natural person, I mean, wtf? :wtf:

Move that one to #1 and you solve the rest of the problems. The modern corporation didn't exist when this nation was founded and would have been made unconstitutional if they did.

:yesyes:

That didn't show up on my comp, can you PM me a link with the details, or something bitte?

Anyone who supports, and or looks forward to Socialism, and or Communism is totally fucked up in the head. Show me where that has ever worked out well.

Show me where Socialism or Communism has ever been genuinely practiced.
Anybody who supports and or looks forward to Capitalism, is totally fucked up in the head.

It may interest you to know that a great man once described Socialism as "The sermon on the mount, applied".

BRILLIANT!

It gets even better. Because a corporation is a natural person it has all the rights we have, including free speech. The supreme court has ruled that lobbying is a form of free speech making it legal to buy politicians.

My 8th post and I'm already getting some love :shy:

if you don't like Obama, wouldn't you theoretically be IN SUPPORT of OWS, because right now, its just Obama vs the GOP sideshow candidates (slam dunk for the DNC at this point).
In a sane political system, Obama would be getting primaried hard. There would be a candidate to express the Left's intense frustration with Obama's lackluster performance and bought n' paid for policies. In reality, given the horrendously corrupt system, the winning candidate needs $1 Billion, and there's not enough cash (in the dispirited Democratic donor base) to support more than one candidate!

So, the anger on the left doesn't have an electoral avenue of expression (in part, OWS is an answer to this blockage). Those of us on the lefty side of the aisle, we can't go the ballot box and voice support for a liberal alternative. Because of our god-awful political system.

And you work for Wall Street? The gang the ruined the world economy? its effects are still being felt today. I dont get allot of it, they are not unified in any final goal, i see that, so far. I like the premsise of the protest, but it just getting old and fragmented, that i do agree.

Please, oh for the love of God please...tell me the pic of the guy holding a poster all about lung cancer and being "forced" to sell meth is a joke. Please tell me that's not serious. You're showing both sides of the extremes, right?
