It all depends on attitude ...
If kids are doing it to honor their parents and tradition, while I can understand it, it's a real challenge once it's just "him and her."
The problem is that these are the majority, and they really break down once one of the spouses starts "thinking for themselves."
I've met a few others who have been arranged, and it's been interesting to say the least.
When both go into the marriage with the idea that "let's make it work," they actually stay together, often for a very long time.
I'm not one to say, but I'd say it has a crapload to do with attitude.
Is that any different than when people choose? Don't know, but it's an interesting study.
I mean, sometimes people who allegedly "choose" are actually "forced" into it by one or the other, peer or parental pressure, etc...
From the get-go, that means at least one person is unsure and possibly against it anyway.
Again, makes for an interesting study in "attitude."
So I focus more on people doing what they want, versus those who don't, and given into what they don't want to do.
