What are you wearing? (shoes)

I finally bought a new pair of shoes. Shoe shopping is one of my least favorite things because the selection in my size is always nearly non-existent and I usually end up settling for what will fit instead of what I want. I found this great pair of Wolverines in 14 Wide, breaking them in has been fun, there's one really stiff seam that cuts under and across my ankle, but I'll give it a few weeks and see how it smooths out. Really like the fit other than the one stiff seam, and it's a great looking shoe. What's your current kicks?

My drivers license says 6'3", but that height was recorded in 1988 or '89, I'm getting so old I can't remember. lol

The Wolverines replaced a pair of Red Wing's I've had for about ten years. I've got a pair of Wing Tips I've had since high school if I have to dress more formally.

I'm wearing some Black Vans High Tops. That's only while I get around to cleaning my Black Skechers Work Low Tops. Those have Relaxed Fit and Memory Foam.

It's weird that either my feet grew even way into my adulthood or sizes have changed. Up until around the 1990s my usual size was predominantly 10½. Only on some rare occasions did I need to get size 11s. After the 1990s it's been pretty much a case of size 10½ need not apply! Now it's always size 11.

I guess you could brag that --- "You know what they say about shoe size. The bigger the shoe size, the bigger the ..." :D

Ha! Yes, it's true, it's true, but they couldn't use the old line, "act your age, not your shoe size", on me, I had a size 13 foot when I was thirteen.

I haven't had a pair of Vans since I was in college, every now and then Shoe Carnival would carry a size 14 Wide and I would snatch them up if I ran across them, but they stopped carrying the larger sizes for a couple of years and I just quit going back to check. I bought two pair of Nike running shoes the last time I was at Shoe Carnival, but Nike sizes seem to run small, I ended up having to get a 15.

I **** wearing shoes/socks and only do so when I have to. For the colder months I have my K-Swiss tennies and a pr of Carolina work/hunting boots. But until then its my sandles or bare feet. ;)

Doc Martens are the only brand I wear. Not just because they are amazing and last forever, I seriously tear through everything else.

In background are the remnants of schoolgirl fun time. That was hot. New shoes for her too.
