What are the worst areas of your city?

I would go for Brixton or Hackney as far as London goes.

Hackney is right up there but Walthamstow I think has had the most murders so far this year so it may become an upward trend.

I aint been able to find exact figures but there was 130 murders last year of a population of 7.5million Londoners (1.8 per 100,000 people), and London is huge with many estates or projects if you were. There is always a general feeling of shock when there is a murder and it makes the front page news of the appropriate local newspapers when there is one.

Ha. Saskatoon's got 3.6 per 100,000 people, and it's a city of 230,000!

I have an odd sense of pride. :)

Has anyone heard of the Great Falls of Paterson, NJ? Thats right, no one has. Despite it being one of the largest water falls in the US. This city is overcrowded, dirty, with old wooden buildings that set on fire monthly. Theres plenty of nasty middle aged hispanic whores all over the place. Potholes on every road. Fat ugly loud black women. This place is a shithole.

Oh yeah and cats every-fucking-where.

I'm not sure really. Places in the the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens, but I don't know the exact neighborhoods. Maybe also parts of Harlem here in Manhattan

There's an area of London called Beckton that is near a sewage works and it constantly smells of crap, enough to make u wanna throw up, especially when windy

Well London is one of the biggest cities in the world. That's not many 187's at all.

LMFAO! :rofl2:

I damn near pissed myself, kid.

I live in the suburbs.

But Antioch (the next city over) is turning into a shithole. Lost of child predators and gang member wannabe's.
Where do you live? Picksbird?
12 years ago, when I moved to Antioch, it wasn't that bad.Little by little, though, the city's been turning into a shithole. With all the section 8 housing that they have we've had half of Richmond and Oakland move in. My neighborhood used to be one of the nicest in the city, and now we have all these ghetto thug gangbanger pieces of shit stirring up shit all the time. In my neighborhood we've had a lot of robberies and vandalism ever since the city decided to allow section 8 everywhere. Before it used to be just on Sycamore, now it's citywide. Deer Valley High School used to be a decent school when I attended, now you hear of shootings there every other week. So, yeah, Antioch's become a dump, but it's still not as bad as Bay Point.

well here in SF, theres:

the Tenderloin
The Bay View
Hunters Point
PARTS of the Mission

ultimately all of those places arent completely bad, there are fair amounts of good, hard working people in each of them. but they are known more for their darker sides.

just like every other district in The City, even my beloved Sunset Dist. have their dark sides behind their bigger brighter sides

The Tenderloin is definitely scary. Every time I work an out at the Warfield I leave the building fearing for my life, and praying that my car is still there and intact. I'll tell you what, though, you haven't lived until you've walked by yourself at 2 in the morning from Taylor & Golden Gate to Turk & Jones, and have been offered every drug known to man, and some that aren't, on the way there! :1orglaugh

Bayview/Hunter's Point is another place that's not good to fuck with. One time I left the Cow Palace after packing up Metallica, and had to take a detour because the police had Bayshore Ave. blocked off. It was only a few blocks that I traveled off my route, but it was enough to scare the shit out of me.

The Mission used to be bad, but nowadays its more of a trendy yuppie hangout than a bad neighborhood.

Detroit's - South Cass Ave, South East, West and East Side neighborhoods are quite scary, but there is nothing to see there. Crap it is all bad!

The Downtown area, Midtown, and New Center area is quite safe and a cool area. Not Disney Safe, but worth a look.

I live in Oakland county one of safest suburbs, but spend allot of time in Detroit.

I like in the little town of Piqua. It's not large enough to have any good areas. It has a boiling collection of white trash, trailer trash, rednecks, hill billies and inbreds, mixed in with the seven or eight people who actually do know how to tie their shoes without a set of instructions.
Of course, saying there are only seven or eight people who actually know how to tie their shoes without a set of instructions is unfair. Most people here are too fat to even see their shoes anymore.

Is it like the movie Gummo? LOL. Born in the Detroit area and going to College 30 minutes from Youngstown and travelling the turnpike about 75 times. Ohio is always a wonderful and strange breed. Some of my best friend are from the area too. I am sure it just like Michigan and just as weird as us, but we can tie our shoes.

I always laugh when I think of The Mission and a cool fun area. Born and raised in Detroit, but it took San Fran for me to see what robbery was like! Got my car broken in and all of my stuff taken along with 3 friends as well. Strange, but that never happened in 35 years in Detroit.

When you guys talk about "Mission," are you talking about a place where all the bums live for like a buck a night?

Oooh, sounds like someone is in favor of a little ethnic cleansing.:1orglaugh

As for me, I am a bit of a vagabond. I have seen some of the best and worst that mankind has to offer. Luckily though, I am never in one place long enough for it to matter much.

The whole damn place. But if I had to narrow it down, I would say the State Capital.

Seriously, there is only one "nice" area of town and maybe two or three decent areas. This place is a shit hole.:(

No. The Mission is a district in San Francisco. It's so named because the Spanish mission of San Francisco is located in the middle of it.
