I have a union pension so I never really worried about saving too much. Plus my wife could easily spend way more than I could make and proved it every year. That said we have about $250,000 in annuities that we haven't needed to touch yet.

Wow, so you've been retired for over 8 years and still haven't needed to touch your retirement funds?
That's one heck of a union pension. I hope I get something like that!

Actually almost 11 years but I did work part time for almost all of them.( Pension is about $1600 per month plus social Security) I did loose a lot by leaving at 62 on both but we are ok so... Helps if you don't have rich tastes. And a wife who worked most for the time. And still works three days a week.

65. I haff a badass savings account that saved my ass over the years, but it's been bone dry since 2017. I pump about 50k back into it and keep part time gigs around 65, bring my credit back up to perfect and I'm set.

At least that's the plan. If i get married, again... Who knows? Women r fucking expensive.
