What affect will the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton's private server have on her campaign?

IMO, both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are playing by a different set of rules when it comes to their popularity and electability. But has Hillary taken it too far now? With the latest news that the FBI has begun a probe into Clinton's use of a private server to handle email exchanges, and it's been shown that some of those communications contained classified information, what affect do you think this will have on her campaign? And since she has admitted to deleting roughly half of the 60,000 +/- emails because she says they were personal, will the FBI be able (or willing) to conduct a thorough investigation?

As agerman, I am astonished how far some of the communications and other issues of your elected personnell gets made accessible - is it to the public, too?

Here in Germany, the Bundestag tries its best to seal itself off to as much public access as possible even journalists tend to have a hard time unless they get what the governent thinks is good for the public

I don't think Hillary will suffer too much from it, the affair is too long in the open, the public gets numbed down by that strategy.

This cunt needs to go away and quietly die from an aneurysm. She's openly mocking the American people and laws. Handing in a server wiped clean to obfuscate her mishandling of top secret material is just about what I'd expect from a family that has conned voters since the 1970s, though. If she were anyone else she would have had her top secret clearance permanently revoked shortly after she left the State Department in shambles.

Much ado about nothing. Most people in the country don't care.

You have got to be joking. More than 50% of the American public distrusts her and her scumbag family. And if the fucking FBI is investigating it is either a criminal matter or a serious breech in security has occurred. This is only the tip of the iceberg of things that should disqualify ANYONE from running for office.

The only americans who scream murder are you guys in here, and maybe Alex Jones and nutcases like Breitbart.

This will just slide out of the public view.

My wife is done with her....and she's a social worker, and voted for her in the first primary. She's disgusted by her behavior, and she's not the only liberal, or center thinking voter I know that has had enough of her, and this administrations violations of law, and Constitution.

Really! It's in the Constitution where your emails can be stored? :)

Honestly, I don't think it will have ANY affect on her campaign. Why? Because, most American voters vote for their team (Republican/Democrat/etc) and not an individual. And, I feel that most American voters already know for whom they are voting. So, those people who end up voting for Hilary Clinton will most likely be people that have already decided, as soon as they heard she was running, to vote for her.

You are a dumb ass. There are plenty of laws pertaining to secret material handling. One of the things she is being investigated for is the use of a private server rather than a government issued/monitored server. And if someone still insists on using a private server they are required to forward their correspondence to a government clearing house. She didn't do any of that. If she were to apply for a top secret clearance as say, a contractor, they would deny her that clearance specifically because she's proven she cannot be trusted.

The criminality of her actions are what's being scrutinized. And in a just world she would have been charged the moment she refused to sign her exit papers when she left the State Department. Maybe Stompy Foot will run interference for her and make the Justice Dept drop the matter but I hope not. Her indiscretion is no small thing.

As this unfolds, I'll be curious to see what parallels there are between how she handled classified information and how General David Petraeus handled his own documents, which were indeed classified. I think he was charged with a felony, but took a plea bargain that reduced it to a misdemeanor and got probation.

As Hillary Clinton already has a severe problem with trustworthiness among potential voters, this simply adds to that. But I agree with Knowone, in that the people who are already determined to vote for her, will still vote for her. And the ones who wouldn't vote for her, no matter what, still won't vote for her. But the ones who are undecided, I believe, will be affected by additional information that suggests that she broke the law.

Probably minimal. The race is still long and there is enough time for people to feel indifferent about it. Compare it with this dentist who shot Cecile the lion. There was outrage allover the globe when the news came out, but now all these weeks later how much of that rage is left? Yes, the people who truly take a stand for or against hunting, but a majority already forgot about it. I agree with Knowone and Chef that people don't care and if they already dediced to vote for someone they still will. On top of that it'll probably become just one of the many stories once everybody starts to fling poo at each other and all kind of mud comes up when the campaigns really start rolling.

Really, are you that ignorant as to what I'm talking about? If you really are that blind to what she, and her cronies have pulled over the last few years, you're a truly a sad and clueless halfwit.
