The prolem is corruption in Greece:
The Greeks are second in productivity per working hour only to the South Koreans, however, all the corruption higher up the chain ('twas ever thus) means that her economy is suffering.

Sadly the only way is to cut Greece loose. Once she crashes and burns, the corrupt top will be burnt away and the nation can be rebuilt.

Wow - it only took 31 years for the wise men of Europe to finally admit .. hey, this idea of a Europe united under blanket border, currency and trade agreements .. uhm, it can't really work can it? How could we have known that the French, Italians, Greeks and Spanish would cheat, swindle and subvert, the Germans would bully and threaten, the Brits fight every single treaty, every 'Shit-lavia' and 'Crap-istan' under the sun would join merely to bleed it dry of subsidies and grants while contributing nothing, that nations would be jointly responsible for the consequences of unilateral sovereign decisions, and that the bureaucratic monolith needed to run the entire thing would be so costly, unwieldy and inefficient it was guaranteed to fuck it all up ...
