Vladimir Putin: Good Leader or No?

Terrible.
Incredibly corrupt, dishonest, self-serving, power hungry tyrant and murderer.

Russia has a great number of messes that need attending to including, again, high on the list, rampant corruption and stunningly unequal distribution of wealth.

I liked Gorbachev. Too bad there don't seem to be any prominent clones of him over there at present.

Putin was the kind of leader Russia needed when he came to office for the first time in 2000 : after the fall of the Soviet Union, after 8 years with drunkard Eltsine for President, Russia was a train-wreck, it needed someone like Putin to put the country back on tracks. But we've past that long time ago and Putin presidency has become some kind of autoritharian corporate oligarchy.

I liked Gorbachev. Too bad there don't seem to be any prominent clones of him over there at present.
Foreigners like us quite liked Gorbatchev. He had understood that the Soviet Union had lost the cold war and he tried to ease the moment when the whole system would crumble.
But Russians did not liked him. they saw him as weak, as the one who surrendred to the West

Thanks for your input, fellas. Putin and Medvedev are the only 2 guys I am familiar with currently. I know Russia is a difficult country to run and keep any kind of order. Putin does have many faults, I know, but I wonder if there is anyone out there on the horizon who would be a better or even good choice to be President of Russia.

Putin made sure no serious opponents threatened his multiple re-election campaigns : he had all emerging opponents either jailed or killed.

Good point, Johan. I'm not sure of the specific people but do any of the ones you say were jailed or killed seemed like they were good and strong candidates for President of Russia that would have really challenged Putin?

I think unless you are in Russia or near Russia or know a person who lived in Russia during Putins reign , you really don't know.
You know only what information the controlled information wants you to know which is usually about as far from reality as it gets.

This is why I tend to like Putin

That's pretty funny, Mr P LOL
For a guy who questions everything to buy this guy's trash is truly ironic.
You even posted vids from RT, which is a television network funded by the Russian government :1orglaugh
In other words, it's one of their broadest reaching propaganda outlets.
But of all things, THIS you trust lol

45 seconds into the first video he starts a song and dance about how RUSSIA'S trust in the United States was undermined under Obama :1orglaugh

Please to recall this is the same guy who, when Obama was seeking better relations with Russia, instead invaded a sovereign nation and annexed a large chunk of it at the point of a gun - while adamantly denying doing so.
Who has lied to the families of casualties in the Ukraine invasion about how their kids died.
Who has and continues to deny meddling in the 2016 presidential election when it's beyond question he did.
And he's whining about TRUST? Omg I'm not sure whether to  or  so I guess I'll do both.

Now, I WILL say that he makes some valid points about mistakes the USA has made, but all that deflection and playing the innocent when you are anything but innocent is just a total joke.

Yes he did make valid points. That was my point.
My valid point.

He basically said what no other living leader has said: The US is ISIS.
Which means the whole war on terror which puts trillions into peoples pockets each year and keeps the people of the US deeper and deeper in debt to the ZIO banks who loan the money to pay for it all.

Which means basically everything we've been told is a lie.

Yes I must give Putin a Thums Up for that.

Do I think he's not corrupt? No.

And the Russia meddling thing? Its a ridiculous.
What they created election fraud which made Trump win?
You know why I know thats bullsheeeet? Because it doesn't matter who they call the US PREZ, the same stuffs gonna happen either way regardless of who they install.
Ok Good day.

Oh actually quite a few people have claimed that. Thousands and thousands of completely deranged right wingers actually claimed Obama was the LEADER of ISIS :1orglaugh

No. The USA is not ISIS. We know perfectly well the facts about its origins, how it spread, and it's ultra anti-american philosophy.

The fact it came into possession of a lot of US made weapons has nothing to do with its loyalties. That sort of thing happens in any chaotic battle zone, and was accentuated by how readily some Iraqi forces surrendered them in Iraq, by distribution errors on the part of the US government, and frankly by sometimes having to try to determine the lesser of two evils when those two evils are in conflict (in the case of Syria - ISIS and Assad).

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Is Vladimir Putin a good leader for Russia? If not Putin what type of person would be best to oversee that huge country?

Ehhh, not so much right now, but I have faith that he can become a good guy. Just have to give it time. Bad boy dictators just go through the Che Guevara PR Makeover School and voila, scrubbed clean. :yesyes:

Hell, we even had a statue of Josef Stalin in my state for awhile. Dude had a higher body count than Hitler, but he's as cool as Ferris Bueller these days. Just misunderstood, according to the sandal wearing millennials.

Well anybody who thinks that the actor Barry Soetoro was the leader of anything is deranged, and that includes a country.

I wont get into it as I have in depth over the past years right here on freeones.
But to me its pretty freaking obvious that the US is ISIS.
Their proxy army of bearded mercenaries they use to roll in a fuck up, and take over everywhere the US bombs the shit out of.
Or you can believe not, and just figure that the US intelligence just cant seem to locate an army of over a hundred thousand men with vehicles and arms and tents ect.
Just cant find them. They must have some serious camo uniforms.

And they cant figure out who is funding this army of 100,000 "radical islamists". Cant figure out who paying them, arming them, feeding them, clothing them, transporting them. Cant figure out who is controlling them.
They just cant figure it out.

Oh and Assad is Evil. Yeah, he gasses Syrian villages right?

Just cant find them. They must have some serious camo uniforms.

Actually yes most often we could find them if they were present in any kind of force, but they'd purposefully blend with civilian populations in order to maximize collateral damage if attacked, knowing maximum collateral damage would be a propaganda bonanza for them.

Haven't a clue what you're talking about here. All of those are in fact 'knowns'.

There is just ONE leader that is better than Putin: That guy we called the Führer

In regards of killing his own people, terrorizing other countries and its populations, he still has a LONG way to go, but he can do it.
