virus or something else?

can a virus get in a router or a dsl modem ?

if so how to fix it

i been threw 3 new computers , every time i pug the computer up to the router or just the dsl the internet is massing up
(video does not play smooth all the time, scrolling is jumpy ) i made sure everything was up to date

even after i unplug my computer and use the internet someplace else it sill masses up like that

what started all of this was avast, it's boot scan

before that everything was good

never had any problems with Avast. Are you sure it's not because of other software you installed?

maybe but i think it was avast .... but the thing is that it only massed up after i did the boot scan

maybe the boot scan did something

my av subscription expired so i thought of trying avast, i did a boot scan, then everything massed up

i had my old computer for 8 years with the same av ,only 2 pc shop repairs

i had a bunch of viruses before , that av took care of them

, even if that was the problem a repair at the shop would of took care of the virus, i said it massed up after the repair also

btw i used this repair shop before
