Vaughan or Clapton

My ****** just ask me this question. I tried to explain that their styles are different so it depends on what style you prefer not like Van Halen vs Yngwie (hey). He claimed I am weaseling out (youngster has no respect ).So I will leave to a higher authority. Is it Stevie or Slow Hand?

Yeah this is a toughy, ... I like both, but I'd have to say Clapton because I've probably listened to more of his overall.

Yes there are other blues guitarists such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, etc. The 2 I was asked to compare was Vaughan/Clapton.

I have to say Clapton, due to the fact that I feel his career has crossed more themes than Vaughn's did (though this may be due to the fact that Clapton's been around longer and Vaughn died earlier). Clapton has been a member of 3 different groups that have all been widely recognized as well.
