Yes that is what I believe,this day has become a joke.Why ? well it's all about money now.It's no longer a day that is to show how much you love someone or show your secret love to someone who doesn't know how you feel.The mystery of not knowing who sent you that unsigned card or mystery gift.No it's all about how much you spend on the meal,night out or suprise holiday.Since when has showing you love for someone meant spending a small fortune on them.What happened to that romantic walk,that quite night in with just the two of you.
All I've heard for the past week from people is really how much there going to spend on their wife,girlfriend,boyfriend,husband or lover (as I know a few gays).Not once have I heard the words like 'I'm going to cook her a meal and have a quite night in,just the two of us'.Or 'we will go for a quite romantic ........',no just all about how much.
