To be fair they did not know they were ********. And they only did a simple romantic kiss that would prove to be too provocative for 1920s standards in film.

At least Luke Skywalker wasn't a big pussy whining and moaning halfway across the galaxy before he burnt up to a crisp and became a human/robot development still in a pissed off teenage mindset.
