Genuine pornstars don't just do lesbian IMO. For a lot of us, lesbian is equivalent to softcore. I'll pass over it unless its something really special. I'll give props for at least doing a simulated sex scene. Going one step further shouldn't be so hard. There must be something holding her back. Often it is the star's boyfriend or such that is creating the barrier, but he'll tolerate lesbian scenes or simulated scenes because they are less threatening. While I didn't get to see it when it was in theaters, Strange Wilderness did seem like it would be an hysterical film. I'll be watching for it on dvd.
