Trying to get into Archery

Hey everyone, anyone here is handy with a bow? My friends and I want to get into the sport of archery, but we know very little in terms of what to look for in a bow..any suggestions? Starting bows for beginners, we're in our mid twenties, but not looking to be too serious with it
