Democracy means that the power belongs to the people and that when a majority of people vote for something or someone, that thing happen or that person is elected.
At least, since none of the candidates got at least 50.01% of the votes, there should have been a 2nd round between Trump and Hillary alone.
I guess Republicans are fine with the system since they are the ones who benefit from it (in recent history, the republican candidate won the election despite not winning the popular votes twice -Bush Jr in 2000 and Trump in 2016) but it doesn't change the fact that this is not Democracy. This istyranny. Tyranny of a minority over the majority.
