I watched this on Friday.......... I had seen the first so I knew what to expect; a really awful film, but some top class eye candy (CGI/Megan Fox)...
I think it opened way too intensly, there was way too much action, so much so that the magic of seeing these amazing creations was entirely lost. I remember when I saw the first film, watching the first transformer morph was mind blowing..... Don't expect any of that because there's just way too many, and the most EPIC robot of them all emerges right at the beginning never to emerge again!
Personally, I think they just took everything too far. The humour is pathetic, the script and storyboard is, well, bad, and the action is just overdone. Loses all it's epic-ness.
A prety good analogy seeing as where I'm posting this, is a porno with no foreplay. There's no allure.

transformers 2 or terminator salvation which do i see ?
Haven't seen Salvation, but after seeing TF2 I'd guess Salvation would be your best bet

No no no. Man, "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" proved to me that he's a great actor. But in all honesty, he's the best thing about these new films (...and Megan Fox, I know...), and he's not really the best voice-actor there is. He's one of those expressive actors who needs to use their face. Compare that to the original, which has a man convincingly voicing a planet, and clever casting of guys like John Moschitta (record-holding fastest speaker, playing a hyperactive character) or Leonard Nimoy (who shows that, once you get past the fact that he's Spock, he's incredibly versatile), and you see where I'm coming from.
Then again, Megatron in a green ball-gow, could be a good sequel.

It was good but it did have many faults...The ending(prime's final battle lasted like 2 mins maybe not even. His fight in the middle of the movie being far superior), the amount of screen time given to the twins and perhaps far too many attempts at humour. In the end it tried to cater to all a bit too much and suffered for it.
They should have let Optimus Prime die and brought in Hot Rod! "Arise Rodimus Prime!"

You're right. My bad, I forgot the first movie; however, in the scenes where they had all the Autobots rolling along they had a Pontiac GTO, which, if I remember correctly, is what Jazz was in the first movie. Maybe I was thinking of the black Silverado on a lift kit. :dunno:

I already pointed out I was exaggerating about Transformer being the best movie ever made. But I definitely feel strongly about how entertaining this movie was. Sure there was a few scenes that was lame but for me the movie didn't drag one bit.
Seriously to all the people complaining about story line... You're going to see an action movie about transforming robots not A Beautiful Mind.
I judge a movie by how I felt watching it. I felt Transformers 2 is awesome. Each person got a different perspective but I'm surprised at how many people disliked it rather than liking it.

No doubt, transformers 2 is one of the best movies released this summer. And hell yeah!!!!.... Megan Fox is hot and there if no doubt about it.
